Headunit with Mirrorlink and audio upgrade
Hey guys,
I have the 2013 FR-S Bespoke headunit and only find that it is able to play mp3 or wma over USB so I have to convert all my FLAC files to 320kbps mp3s. Do the new oem headunits support FLAC playback? Playing mp3s over USB sounds better than bluetooth, but I'd prefer to not have to convert files. Are there any good aftermarket mirrorlink headunits out that people have been able to interface with the OEM Audio+ System? Thanks Last edited by JDKane527; 10-24-2013 at 01:46 PM. I would probably be using Nav, Spotify, Google Play, or Pandora. It would be nice to have the capability for video playback, browsing the internet and check emails at rest.

The OEM Audio+ Reference System has been bangin!
The 2013 Bespoke headunit has gotta go. Pretty sick of seeing the Bespoke features that I can't use because I have an Android. Is the new Bespoke or BRZ headunit fully compatible with Android? Are there better aftermarket headunits with mirrorlink? Navigation isn't a necessity as mirrorlink will let me use my phone's. Thanks in advance

I've installed the Sony XAV-601BT into my 86 without much trouble. It has MirrorLink, but that being said I was left quite disappointed with the responsiveness of the MirrorLink. The touch screen has calibration issues too.
But it's a far better unit than the OEM version, so there is that. |
