Everyone knows I hate agreeing with Toma. But I concur that everyone needs to cool their jets on placing blame until the facts come out in regards to the car fire specifically. The assumptions at this point do appear likely, but the previous comment about the forum devolving into childish posting is fact. I think most of us are just using this thread to vent builtup frustrations.

I think that "fixing it" bit is what we're all waiting for from John, on one issue or another.

This whole thread is a perfect example of you reap what you sow. Whether the FF kit is the culprit or not, if John hadn't built his reputation on being a megad*ck, this would have gone a completely different way. I would bet my last dollar that if the FF kit in question was FA20club's, the general response would be, "Sorry to hear that man. FA20club is a reputable company. If they're at fault, they'll compensate you." Where as with Visconti..........well, you see where it has gone. To all the honest vendors out there who care about not only their reputations but the customers as well, I tip my hat to you.

Lmao why would you still try to start a car if the engine is on fire? Lmao that there is a reason you don't have an install done by some Yokel.

That really sucks. No other way to describe it.

Let us know what the investigation turns up. The possibility that this could happen to an OEM car has not been ruled out and is a scary prospect to consider. I'm going to be checking under the hood regularly until there is an official report out.
