Funny story, saw a truckload of FRSs on 680 today near Fremont. Turned into the Fremont Auto Mall and got to check a few out, unfortunately no test drive yet (cars were purchased with buyers waiting in the lobby). I have to say i'm impressed. More spacious than I assumed, given the miata and similar car sizes. Great stock stereo, decent size trunk.

Amped. Engine has a nice quality sound to it, not a mustang but nobody expected that from 200HP.

Still on the list awaiting a car in my color from the boat though. Who knows how long that will be

Fast forward 12 hours. Deal fell through at a dealer, proud owner of a FRS Asphalt MT pending insurance and some minor paperwork.

Pics to follow when I go back and pick up the car.

I don't mean that condescendingly, I've had my fair share of 'oh, I probably shouldn't have done that' moments when it comes to spirited driving and whatnot. Just a word of warning for your own safety and not to destroy that poor car.
Of course! I take care of my things religiously, and i think street racing is absurd.

I'm going with MT when I graduate next spring, but my first car was also a manual, so yeah

Day 2 and the learning gets easier. Took it out for a spin on the freeway, man this thing gets up to speed quick. Going to be hard to stay within the speed limit.

Managed to stall once or twice in traffic, getting better though. For anyone else in the same situation, I would not let an inability to drive stick hinder you from purchasing any car.

Glad to hear that you are happy with your MT. The cool thing is that the car will be even more fun as you improve your technique.
