If i'm just enjoying/having fun with the car i get about 18MPGC cuz i put stickier tires, but if i try to save gas in the city driving i can get about 23MPGC but i have to try which is hard lol. On highway i get about 32-36MPGH pretty much varies on speed and hills or non hills.

Has anyone noticed that their Avg. MPG gauge doesn't go past 29.9? I've been watching it specifically driving very conscious of the MPG and it seems stuck there. I noticed a couple other people in here have said that exact number as well.

I used to get 27.8 average. But ever since I got my headers and exhaust I've gone down to 24 average haha I think you could guess why.

Lol.. No offense but that post was back in 2013. I'm getting ~25 mpg in the city while getting ~40 on the highway.

I used to get 26 27 mpg but now I get about 24-25

I dont know if anyone has notice the the avg reader usually over estimates my mpg by maybe 1MPG

I do the math everytime I fill up and look at my mpg which is reset the last time I fill up and its always higher than what I am actually filling(I divide miles drive since last fill by what I actually fill)

I do this on a regular basis to make sure....addicting habit.

Anyone else notice this? or are most people just looking at what the car reads?

20-22 city in manual. HWY 28-36 and with CC. 91 octane.

20-24 possible with auto if you use 93 Oct and drive like a grandma. Easy 30-36 hwy on auto.

Reset right before you hit the highway.

If you don't reset after every fill up you are not getting an accurate reading since it is including all the prior millage as well.

Eventually after a good amount of miles it will stabilize somewhere if you are on CC or drop if you are going WOT

My overall average over about 40,500 miles is 35.2 mpg. Best tank average was 41.4 mpg. lol. Stick shift, freeway driving with traffic (hwy 37 and 101). The 41.4 mpg tank was commuting from Union City to San Rafael and back.

Good to know the long term ave is 29.9 I guess

I reset mine at every fill up too - helps me know when I've been a little too heavy on the gas + it's a good check everything is working as it should (increasing fuel consumption could indicate a problem/need for a service for e.g.)

I see between 9L and 12L/100km or 19-26mpg depending on how I drive.
I've noticed that I see between 12-15L per 100km or down to 15mpg when I am on higher ethanol fuel (e50-e85)... but that's also when I tend to drive a little faster.

Best mileage (highway driving, constant speed) is around 6-7L per 100km or 33-39mpg on normal fuel. On ethanol it actually drops a little and the BEST I've seen was around 5.5L per 100km (42mpg).

Interestingly I have also had some bad mileage since fitting a full exhaust... cos you know... you need to hear it a bit more often
