Just thought it was interesting to compare your "on the road" charging to what an ICE would cost in the same situation.

boy have I got a story about a liquor permit, a rather large pet rabbit and a girl named Brittany that drove a Honda S2000 with one lambo door. but due to a NDA that I signed after the settlement I can't talk about it. probably pushing my luck with that much.

given the way California has managed to increase it's homeless population, tax it's citizens into being forced to leave and practically encourage massive forest fires among a pile of other things it's probably a safe bet that taking the opposite side to their almost nonstop failed policies is a good idea. |

One of the amusing things about working for the same company for a long time and moving to several different positions is that there are some aspects of the past jobs you never fully escape. Over lunch today one of the company sales reps left a voicemail on my desk phone asking for help setting up her mobile with ActiveSync.
End user support is a job I haven't had for over 7 years. Don't even have access to open registration if I wanted to. I did send an email to the group who helps them out now, though. |

I've never really delved into the details but I always thought it was odd that CA was allowed to do this anyway since its basically interstate commerce. To me, in the end, if the manufacturers decided they didn't want to deal with the more restrictive standards, they would not sell cars in CA. In the end, if they all banded together they would have the power by just selling "49 state" cars. (Yea, I know its not that simple)

In the world of cell phones, its not just if you do it in the same company. I have the same number now I as I had at my last company. I'd been gone for almost 3 years before I didn't get the occasional call from somes field sales person that didn't get the memo.

Yeah, after leaving my last company for this one I ended up having to change my mobile number. The calls didn't stop even from those who knew. To be fair to them, the company was in the process of closing down, so they eliminated the position I left.

Same with the second $2.50 vs $17.00. A full charge on the standard charger would take several hours I suspect, depending on the battery size.

Also, the CA standards really only apply to the first 7,500 miles of a new car's life. After that, any car can be registered in CA (at least as I understand it). If they were really serious about it, they would restrict the registration of all cars to the stricter standard.
