They sell glass stove top cleaner/polish that works, if you have enough patience.

I used it for several years but, then I got lazy and decided the scratched glass surface didn't bother me anymore -

We did our wings, fries, and tots at halftime. I tried something new; I filled the deep fryer with pig lard instead of oil. Everything was better. One for pig fat.

If diamonds can be polished, any type of glass can be as well. But then that itty bitty diamond costs more than my first car, so imagine the labor it takes to do a big surface...

Yesssssssssss!............

Back on the farm, that's the way we fried everything -

Everything tasted liked bacon -

Yep, Sunday, fried chicken floating in lard, in a large cast iron skillet - it just didn't get any better than that -

(hey, who beat me to the chicken liver - )

Chicken liver is so good. My mom usually buys and makes some for spread (to go on bread, but usually matzoh) around Passover time of year and occasionally other times of year.

It's an "acquired taste" but fortunately I acquired it long ago as a kid .

I've had glass top ranges for over 25 years. The Barkeep's Friend or similar is very useful for cleaning. You also need to keep a single edge razor blade around to scrape off the burned on stuff before using the paste. Between those two it shouldn't be an issue to keep it clean and will take care of small scratches.

You can also use baking soda, or toothpaste, and even some metal polishes, but I've found the purpose made ceramic top cleaners to be the best.

I have tried every "normal" method on ours and nothing really worked. Going to order some of the Barkeep stuff and give that a shot.

If it's bad, it will take some elbow grease, but it has always worked for me. The razor blade also helps, just keep it flat and level so it doesn't create it's own scratches.

2 year anniversary with the gf yesterday. Made a nice dinner. Salad, scallops then reverse seared two ribeye steaks and finished them off with garlic, Rosemary butter.
