Interesting, but makes sense, we still don't know for certain how the body reacts after being exposed to COVID -19 the first time.

Apparently Fox Sports was playing Candid Camera outside the Rite-Aid where I got the vax.

So they caught me on cam:

Thank god they didn't have me mic'd up or they would've heard me bahhhhhh'ing.

Lots of data on India inside:

https://m.dailykos.com/stories/2021/...oking-at-India

Quote:
If, in the next eight months, India were to see the same kind of growth the United States did over the course of 2020, the number of people infected would be 136 million. That’s roughly the same as the number of people who have tested positive to date everywhere around the world. And if India were to see the same kind of death rates seen in the United States, its death toll could easy approach the 3 million now dead worldwide.

India alone, right now, stands on the brink of an epidemic that could match the scale of the entire global pandemic to date. And that’s without taking into account that 0.5 hospital beds per person. If India were to see case fatality rates like those in Mexico—which has twice the hospital beds per capita—reaching just 10% of the population infected would see over 13 million dead.

A failure to address the rapidly growing case count in India doesn’t just stand ready to create an incredible tragedy for that nation, it threatens to provide the world with a new burst of variants that starts from a base that’s already among the most evasive to current vaccines. India could have more cases, more deaths, and more variants than everywhere else in the world combined, and it could have them incredibly quickly, unless the world—definitely including the United States—moves swiftly to provide additional support in dealing with a crisis there that is threatening to spiral out of control.

Case counts in India could begin to level off or fall. They have in other countries, facing other spikes, at multiple points in the pandemic. But there is absolutely no guarantee.

A weary world that’s eager to put this pandemic to bed, may find that the greatest crisis is actually only now at hand. And it had better lend that hand now, while it’s still possible.

Shocking.. just as we start to relax our lockdown rules. Happy meeting of two worlds to kick-start another spiral of rising infection rates!!

Side-effects update:

Shortly after getting the shot I felt fairly sluggish for the afternoon, with some mild throbbing soreness near the injection site.

During the evening it turned into some pretty intense aching in the arm, more than flu shots usually.

Around the time I went to bed, I had a feeling of nausea. It never got intense enough to actually puke or anything, but it wasn't very comfortable. I also felt like I had some mild chills, but took my temperature and I was actually .2 under my typical temperature.

This morning I just have a sore arm.

Neither my Essential Tremors nor bad eyesight have been cured, so there goes getting some mutant abilities.

My cousin got so sick from his shots he said he won't do it again. Not sure which jab he got.

We did antibody test one of the guys that got the moderna vaccine here at work, he showed up negative. I think we got bunk tests. He did get his second vaccine quite a while ago and had nothing but injection site soreness.

Yeah, the night after wasn't great, and the next day I was just tired with a sore arm. Completely fine by the 3rd day.

I'm honestly a bit more anxious about the 2nd dose now, assuming it'll be worse than this.

But it is what it is.
