I hope what this really means is that they are just going to rebadge more Toyotas. I would love to see cars like the Pixis or the Voxy over here. I really want them to sell the Vellfire and the Mark X but those are probably too expensive and offered in way too many trims to fit the Scion brand image.

STOP RICING OUT THESE CARS.

But I guess stupid(imo) people buy riced out cars now adays, so whatever. The only impact it will have is a decrease in sales at Pep-boys Racing and Walmart Auto-Tuners

I had never heard of any of those cars until you mentioned them, had to do a google image search to see what you were talking about. 3 out of 4 of those cars are just the xB... I am confused.

Yes I get that if were to look into it more I'd find that they're all kei cars or something and yes I do think that we should have more K-cars here in the states but whatever, for some reason I'm just all full of sarcasm in this thread today. Seriously though, if the xB doesn't sell good to youth over here what makes you think any of those other boxes would?

Brah.
Funny part about the whole thing, brah, is that the "special editions" are going to outnumber us "normal" 86's soon enough. It's rather humorous.

I don't see no point in complaining then.

Miata had quite a few special edition cars, even more so then those listed here.

true, but the "special edition/limited" miata's came with options such as limited slip, AIR CONDITIONING(lol), BBS wheels, bilstein shocks, beefier sway bars, high performance tires and rear subframe braces.

We get a shark fin antenna, lightup shift knobs and yellow paint in our special editions.

But, I guess we're lucky they at least are giving us some options...hopefully we get more performance oriented stuff in the next few years.

Was I complaining? I think it's funny personally. Laughable that a set of headlights, or BRZ creature comforts make it a "special edition"

The original XB actually did sell pretty well to it's intended market when it was just the Toyota bB with a new badge on it. It was when they broke away from the bB and made it bigger and redesigned it for American youth to make the second gen XB that sales plummeted. I think that the Pixis Space (which is a boxy little kei car) could do pretty well here. The Voxy is just a bad ass mini van, although I have my doubts about how well it would do in America. Same story with Vellfire, but just because I don't think they will sell well here doesn't mean I still don't want to see them try.

They need to sell more JDM boxes here. Boomers love those things, but they just haven't been buying as many Scion boxes since the Kia Soul is currently the better vehicle. They just need to overhaul the lineup and have some catchy boomer themed marketing and Scion would do a lot better.

I really think Subaru should just kill off the Scion brand and sell the current FR-S as a Toyota badge. It was an experiment for Toyota and, looking at sales numbers, it needs to be put out of it's misery.
