I just want something cheap to take some of the abuse of crap on the highway so that is perfect. I cringe every time I can't avoid a big chunk of wheel well ice that is laying on the highway as they can be rock solid. No damage yet but may throw the stock springs back on next year to gain the extra 1 1/2 inches.

Moved it out of the way so @Jonesy86 and I could fuck with his header. Fingers crossed.

Time to link a ton of photos!

Cars and Coffee, Bakersfield CA Jan 2014.

@tyrantcf should have some nicer photos to upload, but I got a few as well.

Also, tires have shipped, Non-stop Tuning Pulleys have shipped, and part of my Fteightysix order has shipped. Only waiting on the rotas and the winjets to ship now...

I love my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome save, glad you're safe.

That happened to me on the Interstate going 75 in a Land Cruiser approaching an underpass, slid about 90° to direction of travel halfway through the tunnel, maintained neutral throttle and thought when I hid dry pavement it would roll for sure. Then it started rotating the other way and luckily hit the dry pointed straight. Almost shat and strangely got hiccups, an adrenalin reaction I suppose, something I've only experienced driving over my head on a race track.

Did any of the nannies help? Seems like ice would be a lost cause but am curious.

Oh yeah, what did I do to my car? Sold it, going vintage racing.

Ugh. About a week ago the same thing almost happened to me. Except they didn't have any working brake lights... Thankfully it wasn't so sudden, but I'll be damned if my butt hole hasn't been the same since.

Doesn't let me quote you????
Nannies were off because with the patchy ice they were causing more issues then they were preventing. Not sure I would have been able to pull off the save if they had been on. Traffic wasn't moving fast and I knew there were patches as I had already gone over a bunch. I think it was a very strong gust of wind just as I hit the patch of ice that pushed me into the slide.

What vintage racing you doing?

Have a difficult decision to make soon. Either a free barn find basket case stock or $$$ turn-key prepped racer, both A-H Sprites. Practical side says build it, emotional side says race it in March.

Trouble is, I have another unfinished basket case project car sitting in crates at a friend's place in another state. He's starting a resto project and needs the space. I don't have enough time for two restos at once and would like to race this year so am leaning toward a sorted car. Well, as sorted as a vintage British race car can be.
