TRD and the Perrin are different in that they both enter the center. Xforce is laid out like stock with side entrance, so it’s considerably quieter.

I also have the Xforce and I love it. Almost 10,000 miles on the swap and the exhaust is holding up perfectly. Couldn't ask for more out of a 500 dollar catback. https://youtube.com/shorts/1tjq3-VA1-I? |

I used "Honey" chrome extension to clip a 10% off coupon, bringing it from ~$600 to $538.65. Whenever I buy stuff online I always check Honey or Rakuten for savings. On Rakuten alone I've redeemed $867.32 in real cash back so far since using it the last 3 years. Highly recommend both of those extensions!

Another KSwap guy had some smoke issues, turned out the header heated the passenger floor area enough to burn the insulation.
I went out and checked, mine is yellowed in the same area. Probably worth pulling back the carpet and taking a peek for you full interior people. Both of our cars have ceramic coated headers. Another thing I have noticed is that my car drops oil pressure to the low-mid 20s when on the brakes off throttle. I kind of want to ignore this since the same thing happened with my Miata, but at the same time it is kind of an issue. I have seen this in all of the other K86 track data logs as well.

My floor is the same in that same spot but I thought it was because an exhaust bolt backed out and I had a exhaust leak right on the body in that spot. I added some dimpled aluminum/fiberglass heat shielding to the exhaust in that spot.

That could be the case, but I don't think it is the complete cause.
That three bolt flange was a poor idea - you can't reasonably get to the top bolt in car, the welds for the flange to tube run up onto where locking bolts sit, and it hits the body because it is so large. Next time I have the header out I'm cutting the thing out and making it a slip joint or vband.

Few notes from the weekend:
1. My shift knob shift pattern roundel thing came off in my hand during a session so I threw it on the passenger floor, it now has yellow/brown marks where it was burned by the floor. I don't think that heat thing is an exhaust leak only thing. 2. KPower header / no cat / Perrin 3" passes a 96dB sound limit without turns 3. KPower says we should be running a quart over the full mark on the dipstick to not drop pressure, we will see if that is legit in two weeks 4. My car is still an oversteer murder machine and I need to fix it, exiting 2nd gear corners is yay dorifto (super slow). Car immediately goes to 100% steer by throttle in 3rd/4th gear sweeper type corners once the power is on. This has been an issue with it since I bought it, the journey continues. Either way, car ran another 8 full sessions over the weekend without a hiccup.

Try to take some sway bar out of the rear, or soften the rear dampers a bit
