Who here rides a motorcycle with an FT86Club sticker on their helmet?

That was me behind you today on Carling/Herzberg before you turned onto Leggett.

lol

So I was on my way to work. My girlfriend was following me. Turning onto the on ramp I decided to give her a little show and drift it.
It's raining a little so I know I'll get maximum angle and distance.

Pitch it into the turn and I'm pretty much at full lock. Car pendulums back as expected. Now usually in the dry the car sort of dies down since there isn't that much power. This is where things go wrong.
Instead of lifting off the throttle to straighten out I stayed in it like I usually would to start zooming off.

Of course the rear end swings left again and I spin.

I'm in the middle of the road spinning and there's no other cars so I'm not really worried. I'm most of the way through the spin and I get on the throttle to try and get some grip and roll out. Then what really screwed me was I tried to tap the brake with my left foot, but I ended up jamming the clutch.

That's when I essentially rolled backwards into the ditch.
I was mortified. Worried I'd busted something under the car.
Guy in a truck pulls over to make sure everything is ok. I tell him I'm fine. I look at the car and everything seems ok. He offers to help but I say I'll just call a tow truck, but then he says he has a sling.

Great. I'll screw the tow hook into the front bumper and he'll pull me out. By now my girlfriend gets out of her car and comes over. I tell her to get in and ask the gentleman to help me push.

Luckily we managed to push the car out, and there doesn't seem to be any damage. I'll throw it up on the hoist tonight after work and check things out. There may just be some scratching under the car from the gravel shoulder.

Unfortunately no pics.

Lesson learned: need turbo so I have more power.

This is why people who don't know what they're doing hurt others and themselves.

Glad you are okay, I had a similar problem up in kingston, but with sand, I was lucky to be 2 minutes away from my cousins place, who surprisingly was there in less than that, towing me out.
