Issue with Simple Shut Window Feature

So as I was getting out of my car today, I noticed that the simple shut mechanism was starting to rip the rubber sealant in between the two windows of my driver side door. I went to check to see if it was happening on the passenger side as well but it was still intact. Anyone else notice this on their car? And do you guys think this will lead to bigger problems (such as leaking when it's raining) if I don't get this fixed?

Yeah, I'm planning on bringing to the dealer. But is this happening to anyone else? Even if they do fix it, I have a feeling its just going to keep ripping.

Mine is tearing as well. Still seals, so I'll keep an eye on it and take it in if necessary.
