Just a couple hours ago had a woman, maybe 40-45, say "nice car" as we both walked up to our cars parked next to each other.
Also, at the dealer a week ago getting them check for a noise, got a couple stares sitting in the queue and then the normal young fella or two working there asking a couple questions about it. There really are few cars that look as good as this that you see every day but then of course right after the woman saying nice car, I get to the next store parking lot and there's something that one ups it, a bright red 488. |

Told this story a long time ago but it is a great example so will repeat: When I first got the Lava I took it to a free drive in movie put on by several car dealerships. They had a bunch of dealership cars of different makes scattered through the front rows. I parked right beside a white F Type Jag. This couple in their early fifties (I would guess) were walking along and stopped and looked the Jag over very closely. They then moved on and looked my car over just as closely. She turns to hims and says "the white and tan (interior) is nice but I like it much better in the orange and black". He AGREED! They were standing a foot away from and looking right at the Scion badge. I laughed and laughed at how they could possibly confuse the two. Then the exact same thing happened at least 4 more times. The moral of the story is that the average person is car dumb and more than happy to be that way.

sweet ride bro encounter data log #1335
i was dropping my dad of at the car wash so he could pick up my stepmoms car that was ready and clean. i dropped him off in the brz, but noticed a modified 86 in line for a cleaning bay. i parked behind them and got out, knocked on their tinted window. SHE rolls down the driver window and im shocked its a girl. i get a raging boner for .03 seconds before i realize shes not attractive, but thats ok though. we talk about cars for a second, i realize she has no clue about anything mechanical, she just got hers 4 months ago, it has an apr wing, wheels, and a front lip, vortex generators, and various other things glued to her exterior, spike valve stems etc. exchanges insta @'s, and i carried on with my day. kinda wished i stayed to help wash her car, thatd been the friendly thing to do. edit: oh and someone yelled to me " IS THAT A NEW SUPRA?" and i said its a subaru, and he said lame. i told him the new supras are not available with a manual transmission, and that was about it for our conversation |

This is why men get such a bad reputation. At least you kept talking to her and were friendly.

I kinda forgot about this, but was a funny little thing that happened. It's not a sweet ride bro encounter, but it's kinda along the same lines. This is a CTR story.
On my adventures one day on my merry little way putting around I had to make a stop, gf needed a bathroom, as she does every 5 mins. So I'm there waiting in a very busy parking lot of a travellers outpost (OnRoute). A base Civic pulls up in a space beside me, full of older ladies. Me being the young hip person I am, am on my phone, paying no mind to these people. There is 4 of them, they begin to get out of the Civic and I hear some mumbling and chit-chat, then I hear: "Hey this is kinda like mine.." The driver of the old lady entourage is now focused at and pointing at my car. They all kinda stood in confusion, then being the older people they are and doing old people things, they start to inspect my car as if it was a god damn show room..... Perhaps not realizing or even caring that I was in there, they did almost a full 360 of my car while pointing and commenting on things and before making their exit to get either smokes and/or coffee. I was stunned. My car just got eye raped by some old ladies. P.S. I post here because CTR forums have a lower average IQ. Bunch of fucking neck-beards over there.
