Do you guys with OE style fuel pumps and stock hardlines notice your fuel pressure dropping when the car is off? Mine drops SLOWLY. It's fast enough you can see the needle move if you watch for a while but it steadily decreased to about 35psi over an hour or 2

I have a pressure gauge on my fuel rail, it slowly drops from 60lbs to near zero over a couple hours here.

Interesting. I thought that was a sign of a bad fuel pressure regulator but perhaps it's a feature LOL

Not quite same as I am running -6an feed/return, but my fuel pressure drops immediately after the car is off. So you should be fine. I thought it was an issue at first as well.

Fuel injector issue fixed (I think). AC1(main lug) was pinned wrong.

So last problem to get the car running: car only starts at partial throttle then revs straight to redline. Literally only runs for a second before I have to shut it down. Any ideas on why this is happening? Element Tuning is a pain to get ahold of so I'm obviously trying to work every angle to get this fixed. The last time I started it I blocked the crank breather and brake booster to rule out air leaks from those. PCV valve could be bad, might try blocking it too. Can it be a tuning/computer issue?

What throttle body are you using? Did you adjust the throttle plate screw? Do you have an iacv installed on the throttle body?

Iacv is gone. I've played with the throttle plate screw. What would you suggest

In my setup, my tb has an iacv port that was open. It didn't necessarily cause my engine to runaway but it gave me a very high idle and annoying sucking sound (port on the right in the picture). The iacv sensor needed to be fully extended to plug that port in the tb. I then had to adjust my tb idle screw to get the engine to idle nicely. Check that to see if it'll help any or maybe your tb isn't sealed properly? Check your gaskets on the tb adapter.

Yeah my iacv is literally gone. Milled it off and filled it with JB weld. I'll check gaskets. You think it's for sure an air leak?

I'm not going to say for sure but I'm personally leaning in that direction. Try to have someone plug that port, if your tb has one, with their finger and fire it up.

IT RUNS! Well, mostly. So the plug in the back of the intake manifold apparently broke when I put the motor in last so I did have a massive air leak. Fixed that with a new plug and plenty of JB Weld.

Motor runs at partial throttle but the fuel pressure fluctuates between 30-60 psi at idle . I assume this is a tuning issue. Surely the fuel pressure regulator couldn't account for that, and then it should be a constant issue right? Seems like the fuel pump must be cycling slowly or something.

I had a squealing noise. Sounded fucking crazy. Like the flywheel was straight up running on something. But I found the cause... PCV system. Apparently I have so much vacuum in the crank case it just squeals like a son of a bitch. Any idea how to fix that? Lol

UPDATE: The FRS runs low fuel pressure at idle so Element just left it and tuned around it. It can be changed in the tune but it's apparently unnecessary

PCV fixed. I had the breather on the wrong side of the throttle body.

Successfully idled and DROVE today! It was super hard what with my massive erection being in the way but I made do.

There is an awful lot of suction on the manifold side of the throttle body and I maxed out the idle screw. I think this caused some weird revving issues while driving. I'm considering making a hole/groove in the throttle body to allow some air past the throttle plate separate from the idle screw(I don't have an IACV). What do you guys think?
