Nope... they'll want to occupy the same locations.

Just get the JR oil cooler.

If you're ever bored during lunch break, feel free to PM me and let me know about how long my backorder (vincent chan) is

I'm afraid to ask David cause I annoyed him so much already asking a bunch of questions about the supercharger

Just email sales@ for an update, but everyone is having issues due to Covid slowing supply chains down.

I know he's got some NA oil coolers in stock. FI I'm not sure but usually he tries to keep at least 2.

Help me forum, you're my only hope.

Step #21 of the installation ask me to first thread the 180mm stud, shorter threaded side first, into the alternator so that two (2) threads are still visible poking out of the rear mounting point. Done and done.

Next, step #22 directs me to thread the 19mm long coupling nut onto the thread until it is seated against the alternator, thus setting the mounting point appropriately.

I have guaranteed this is the correct stud, and the correct coupling nut (they were actually already threaded together in the packaging).

The problem is: there isn't enough thread on the long end coming out of the alternator to seat the coupling nut against the alternator. There's a solid inch or so of bare stud which the nut can't get to. Anyone know what gives here?

False alarm. Instructions were somewhat vague. There are two spots where you can see the stud going through the rear of the alternator. I was looking at the more forward one.

Methanol injection on JRSC - ¿any experiences?

Hi there.

Just curious if anyone has tried to put any methanol/water injection system with the JRSC and what to expect. ¿Is it worth it? ¿Would you be better of with an oil cooler?

At a first glance, it seems it would do no harm (cooler intake temps, arguably extra knock safety). ¿But would it really help make more power? I did not see many info or comments with our brz/86 platform but many other platforms use this system. So...kind of undecided here.

¡Thanks!

If your running 91 for sure. 93 less and e85 not worth it. Much better off with an oil cooler first anyways

It will make more power, more consistent power, and safer power.

on my setup with 92 octane i ran 14.5 degrees of timing, with WMI alone 17.8 degrees, E45 alone 17.8 degrees and E45 + WMI 21.1 degrees timing.
WMI + E45 will get you the same power/octane benefits/ timing etc as full E85.

WMI is also better than E85 for cooling charge temps.

Also running WMI helps subsidies your fueling system as it has its own pump/nozzle so I did not need to upgrade my injectors / pump like i would have if i was only running E85. and my fuel economy was still very reasonable not being on full E85. If i had easier access to E85 i would probably still just run full E85, but i have 1 station 1.5hour round trip. so i fill up 6 5gallon cans and used 1 5gallon can per fill up (5.5gallons) to space out my trips.

with that being said, i wouldn't get WMI to substitute for an OIL cooler, it will probably help overall temps including OIL a tiny bit. but it is not intended as a full substitute for an OIL cooler, it is just an octane booster / IAT temp cooler.

¡Thanks! very helpful information. ¿This is on top of the JRSC, isn't it? ¿Where did you put the noozel?

Best!

I had a sprintex 210 69mm pulley 13psi. E85 or WMI isn’t uniquely beneficial to only one FI system. They all can benefit immensely from more knock resistant fuels and lower intake charge temps.

I had a TB spacer with 1/8npt for nozzle injection.

For a centrifugal style SC i would inject post intercooler but as close to intercooler as possible. This gives it the most time to atomize, absorb, and dissipate heat. Also gives it enough time to lower IATs for the MAF sensor to read the new lower IAT and allow you to adjust the tune accordingly.

WMI is another possible point of failure. But if setup correctly the risk can be heavily mitigated.

The hard part is finding a tuner willing to tune with WMI on this platform. I know xero limit will he did my WMI + FF tune, car ran great and pulled hard. Numerous back to back pulls in hot weather each pull felt the exact same and consistent amount of power. Which on a sprintex is impressive.

Hey peeps, I will be purchasing the jackson kit in the near future. My question is support mods, I'm sorry there's 396 pages, that's so much to read to get a simple answer.
There are the support mods that come to mind,
Silicone radiator hoses
Hood vents
Oil cooler/radiator combo
Catch can
Thermostat
Maybe upgraded fans.
Do I need anything else?
I will be using the brz for autox and street.
Thank you.
