I want to take the high performance driving class at PIR. It gets a lot cheaper with more people. $499 for 1, $449 for 2-4, and $399 with 5+.

Anyone interested? 8/21

Since this is my first RWD drive car, I figured I should learn to push it somewhere other than an empty parking lot.

Look up Cascade Sports Car Club. They have one coming up on Aug 17th and Sept 22nd. @ PIR. http://cascadesportscarclub.org/training.asp?page=home

As for Oregon Raceway Park, a good club to lookup also is Team Continental. They host several days out there and have a great drivers training program. Oh yeah, and ORP is one WICKED track. TC has a Driver's Training on August 3rd and they're pretty cheap too! http://teamcontinental.com/

Also, if you don't mind drive up North for a bit (might be a nice weekend "getaway") there's a new track in Shelton, WA called The Ridge and it is a track you don't want to miss.
Ridge Racing School hosts track days and DE's there several times a month. http://ridgeracingschool.com/

Thanks guys! Nice to know there are lots of options. Perhaps someone should compile them. I can't be the only one who wants to try this stuff for the first time.

Yeah I need to get my club memberships back in order. I has been a while since I have been out on the track, but this car compels you to want to drive it!

That is an understatement. I've decided to do the Hooked on Driving event on 8/6 at Oregon Raceway. Anyone else interested?

The hookedondriving event looks amazing! I have wanted to check out that track since I heard they were actually going to make one out there. 300$ is a little out of my price range but I will know more when I get back from NY next week.

The Bremerton school would be great also! much cheaper but will burn some gas and would have to either stay the night there or get up suuuuuper early.
