The pulley never came in contact but the belt did rub the paint on the inner hood structure a little under full throtle. A little hammer work on the inner structure and nothing rubs, it didnt take much just dented the drivers side of the rib.

To me getting a 335 and just going with a bigger pulley to keep the boost down seems preferable than maxing out a 210. Especially if you are getting it at a good price.

Hey guys!
So after about 4 month of serious deliberation as to which direction to go, I think I'm going to go with the Sprintex 210 kit! This was infact the first kit I looked into and sparked my interest in forced induction. Few questions though for the experts: How hard it is to upgrade to the 335 once engine is built etc? Does the manifold have to change or is it just the intake tubing at the back of the SC and the SC itself? I'm buying a used kit from Bullet Australia who are the guys that designed the kit for the 86. About $4000 AUD which is 2k less than new. Not too bad a price seeing as there are none here second hand in Aus. Any issues I should be wary of, check for with a second hand kit or preventatives for the kit when installing? I've read over install notes etc etc, just looking for general tips. Thanks guys! |

so I've got my kit installed, but a quick questiong about catch cans.
I will be running one on the intake side, before the intake. The pcv/crankcase one...the catch can is installed before the breather tube(well, inline with it)? On the back of the supercharger, there are the 3 connections, evap, breather and brake booster. Its the breather one that the cc connects to, right? |

Boost levels arent really the issue here though, its the strain that so much rotational mass puts on the FA20 engine. The 335 is just too large.

also, .02 - buy the 335. larger pulley. call it a day. The upgradability of the kit alone makes it far more valuable than the 210 imho... and that's coming from a 210 owner. or buy the 335 and swap it for my 210. thx
