Perrin 3" CBE - did I install correctly?

Hi everyone.

Just installed my perrin CBE this morning and wanted to ask if this looks about right...essentially my tips look a bit recessed (balanced on both sides) into the exhaust cut-out. Taking a look at my hangers (see photos below) you can see that they're tugging toward the front of the car.

From photos I've seen on the forum, the tips usually are fully protruding from the cutout whereas only the bottom of my tips are as such.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. As far as I know, install was smooth, everything fit and torqued to spec. Also, rest of exhaust is stock other than CBE.

oh, and yes it looks beautiful and sounds fantastic

@PERRIN_Mladen @PERRIN_Jeff would appreciate your thoughts on fit.

Thanks!

Yeah It looks like yours are sucked in just a bit. I think rotating/adjusting the S-pipe affects how far the tips protrude.

Here are some pics of mine.

@RacerX I guess rotate the s pipe counterclockwise? Seems like if I rotate clockwise it'll hit the diff. I'll give it a shot tomorrow

I didn't really mess with mine too much when I installed it. It all just slid into place and the tips looked great on the first try. The whole install took less time than getting the car up on jackstands.

Loosen the V-Band clamps and see what effect rotating the S-Pipe has. It should swing the muffler towards the rear of the car.

I actually like how the tips look on yours OP; the flush looks great in my opinion. BTW where did you get the exhaust from? From Toronto as well.

@YangerD yeah I do as well haha will leave as is. @dxero my parents live in MA, I'm here over Easter so just got it shipped here. However, alphamotorsports in Markham area has a really good price on the 2.5 and likely can get you the 3. Not affiliated at all but happy to pass on a good price when I find one

Once you've got it set on your car, adjustment is pretty easy. Loosen the two V bands on the S pipe, the connection to the mid pipe, and the connection to the muffler. Then twist the S pipe to move the muffler to the desired location, then retighten the V bands, and you are done!

Mine slightly protrude out a bit, but nothing too crazy. I can get a few photos if you'd like.

My 2.5" resonated is exactly the same. You definitely need two people to adjust the tips. One to be a spotter, one to tighten the clamps.
