2017+ Vertical JDM/STI DRL Install Help

About a year ago I saw a post here about the Japanese instructions for these daytime running lights but I can't seem to find it now.

So I need help finding where to connect parts of the provided harnesses.

The first harness I can't seem to find where it connects is the one coming from on/off button.

Here is a close up of the connector

Where does this 2nd harness connect to

I'm not really finding a proper place for them under the drivers side dash shown here

Finally there is a Y shaped harness that connects the 2 lights in the bumper to somewhere in the engine bay... where is that somewhere located?

Here is the that harness

and here a close up of the connector

USDM cars have different body harnesses, you won't find the right connectors.

The only harness I used from that kit is the one that plugs into the two lights. I cut the connector off that you are holding in that last picture and crimped on female spade connectors. I then used T tap connectors on the OEM boomerang wires on the driver side headlight. Worked great.

You'll have to use a multimeter to figure out which wires are which. I don't have my BRZ anymore so I can't look for you.

I did some of my own research with a multimeter and test pen

Going to run 2 cables throught drivers side grommet on the firewall. (RHD) those two wires then connect to one of the plugs.

The rest is plug and play it seems.

Will post an update for anyone in the future that wants to do it the proper way.

Forget the harness, I just used the on/off switch and connected it to an unused fuse under the dash which connect to the lights. it was a lot easier that way.

Hi Csol,

Di you cut or customize any of the original harness? Please, can you share some pictures or an update how to properly install it?

Thanks

Sure I did the most perfect install you can have.

Shame on @ft86speedfactory for not going to any effort to get the install instructions.
Got access to the Subaru jap internal accessory install manual.
