If I drive for 60+ miles it will start to chatter at idle, not a big deal, get your tuner to up your RPMs at idle. Don't go with the prolite, get the *normal* FW, it's still half the weight of your stock flyhweel.
can you talk a little bit more about the TOB that comes with ACT clutches? are they really garbage and i should get the TOB from my local dealers parts department?

I need to change my TOB and was thinking of doing the clutch while its open, but theres no way im buying an act kit if the tob is garbage, seeing as thats really the only component i actually need to change

I'm calling local subaru dealer to order a revised TOB, I'm going to say it's for a 2013 brz, unless you all think I should order one saying it's for a 2017.

The ACT kit does indeed come with the old TOB design. The part number for the revised TOB is SU00307349 (Toyota) / 30502AA150 (Subaru). Toyota sells it for cheaper.

And it shouldn't matter if it's for 2013 or 2017, Toyota/Subaru only stock the revised bearing.

Virtually every issue I've seen with the ACT clutches are installation related.

IMO, the ACT is the best bang for the buck clutch.

If you want to do a fork upgrade, and TOB upgrade (!!!!), OS Giken is the way to go.
So where might one procure a metal clutch alignment tool? Specifically, one that is either billet or forged (i.e., not a universal alignment tool).

Cut one off of a Subaru transmission (input shaft), or purchase one made by OS Giken from CSG.
