Thanks to Toyota/Subaru for keep this beloved platform running even thou we are still fighting against corona and SUV CROSSOVER.

I regret to say that, may be I am in the minority group who will still buy 1st Gen over 2nd Gen even I have a option to take one.

Yes I love the new look, more aluminium, may be more solid structure but some how it looks more streamlined (like their new STI's) then beloved niche model. Thats my 2 cents.

Love the bump in torque...woo!
Yes.. grows on you, like a tumor you have to get rid of. There is no hope for this front end.

Listening to people who love the original AE86 talk about what's ugly always entertained me.

New RPM limiter is at 7000.so there is a drip of 400

I feel exactly the opposite. The catfish nose of 86 is plain ugly. A WRBlue BRZ is the best looker.

It's been overall a very disappointing year.

First there was Covid.

Now the 2022 BRZ.

I'm ready to order a new 2019 base model with manual trans in the color of my choosing.

This I can get behind.

It must be in the contract that Subaru must release the uglier one basically every update.

I don't see how anyone can be unhappy with this car's spec and design. 230 hp, good torque NA four cylinder, that keeps an enjoyable redline. 6MT, handbrake, and light weight RWD. Styling cues from British, German, and of course some Japanese sports cars of the past and present. Affordable and available to purchase brand new.
