Ahh yes, another car sales expert. And the sad thing is she has no real incentive to actually learn about the cars they are selling. Most people go in and buy a Toyota model based on the company’s reputation. Like the sales guy that commented to me how sweet the V6 was in the Supra. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It would probably come with a retort that Toyota makes all of their engines...or if know even less about them they'd be massively confused as to why a piano maker is even in the conversation.

Not in today's used car market. Dealers can't get new cars so the price of used has skyrocketed. I feel bad for those coming off a lease and have to settle for something they don't want if they can't wait for their first choice.

Does KBB have the right invoice here? 2022 BRZ Limited MSRP: 30,495 MSRP w/o destination Invoice: 29,861 If that is correct, then yea, there isn't much wiggle room on pricing. I can also see why dealers don't know anything about the car. The margins stink and they probably sell 1-2 a month. Literally nobody cares about these cars. I can understand paying MSRP if you want one of the first ones, but remember, the 2017~2020 86 had a 1,500 rebate+0.9% for as long as I can remember. I've seen people on the forums reporting similar discounts on the BRZ. I see no reason why the new gen will be any different. Personally, I would like to get one before April/ May of next year, but I'm going in with the expectation of getting $13~14K for my FRS. I'll pay MSRP if I can get that deal. |

So worst case scenario is you waste a little time getting it appraised, but you might get significantly more money for your old car.

Yo do it, i would if i was in your shoes. I always thought it's the place to live to avoid property tax & shop tax free in Portland if you don't mind the bridge traffic. |

Income tax, not property tax, but yeah. Bridge traffic really isn't all that bad. Traffic here getting to shopping is WAY easier than living in Beaverton and trying to get into town.

I use www.costcoautos.com for my invoice cost info on various cars. For a 2022 BRZ Limited (destination = $960): https://www.costcoauto.com/new_cars/...?trimid=421749 MSRP: 30,495 (w/o destination) MSRP: 31,455 (w/ destination) Invoice: 28,901 (w/o destination & $75 supply chain hardship) Invoice: 29,936 (w/ destination & $75 supply chain hardship) So it looks like KBB is right except they're showing w/o destination for the MSRP and w/destination for the Invoice (but not showing the $75 supply chain hardship fee). Invoice/MSRP spread is just $1,594 before options. So yeah, probably not much room to move off MSRP. Especially in this market, and for a new model. I'll be happy if I get MSRP and they throw in my auto dimming mirror/compass for free |
