I’m seeing more BRZ reviews popping up. I’m leaning towards the BRZ. One of the reviewers, Matt Maran?, said he likes the steering feel on the GR86 a little more. I also didn’t know about some of the little tweaks made to the second gen cars like the seats being slightly closer to each other, and lower. Also the roof being slightly pinched in. I love the attention to detail by both Toyota and Subaru.

Farrah said on his podcast he’s going to get a BRZ sometime around the end of the month for a road test. I generally like/agree with his takes on how (factory) performance cars behave on the street.

First time I'd listened to him was from someone mentioning his podcast about him talking about driving the GR86 a little early.

Really easy and interesting to listen to.

That dude was way over-dramatic about getting into the back seat. I'm 51, 203 lbs and I guarantee I can get in and out and sit back there for a 15 minute drive without drama. Sitting there with his foot out the door... GTFO.

But other than that the vid seemed pretty good. And his t-shirt was ace.

I don't disagree but if, like he mentions, they've lowered the seat to the point you can't get your feet under them, I could see that as an issue.

Yep. I leave decent amount of legroom behind my driver's seat (at 5'11"/145#), but the seat is all the way down. With any kind of shoes there's just not enough room for the passenger's feet - flipflops, sandals and barefoot is manageable, though.

He was hamming it up for sure, but it is a very small backseat space. It’s really only useable for small kids. Smaller adults in a pinch. I think he was also showing that the second gen seats sit even lower, so space for your feet is very limited. (He was wearing hiking shoes which didn’t help ) I thought of my FR-S as a two seat car, and only used the backseats a few times. I would even be ok with doing a rear seat delete. But in those rare situations when you absolutely have to take more than one person with you, they are nice to have. It makes the twins a much more capable daily driver, along with the trunk space, over a Miata.

The face Doug is making in that picture is horrifying. Is he being stabbed?

His hand position and expression leads me to believe he could be driving a knife into his own abdomen.

THIS is a swiss army knife, and it is one of several that was lent to me with this car. I have borrowed this knife from a viewer in the Kentucky area who believes that COVID is a hoax and wants me to prove to them that being inside a car is just as safe as being outside and that COVID cannot enter my body in both instances. I am now going to demonstrate with this knife that COVID will in fact, enter my body, rather easily in fact through any kind of flesh wound.......
