Got backed into

The unfortunate happened . a lady back into my parked car while I was pumping gas. She managed to bump my car back a foot. There isn't any visible damage, should I get it inspected to see if there's any structurally? I have the actual incident recorded too, so that's a plus at least.

I love my car to pieces, just got her less than 2 months ago. Any recommended courses of action will be taken into consideration.

EDIT::The mustache was the contact point.

If it's so light that you can't even see any visual damage, it's totalled.

I meant it's fine. If you're really paranoid about it go have it inspected and get her to pay for it provided she's a reasonable person.

what he said.

If there isnt any visible damage to your bumper cover, or mustache, then there is a 99.9% chance there is no structural damage....because you know steel is harder than plastic =) but if you got her insurance info, get them to pay for it just in case.

It wouldn't hurt to get the entire car check out regardless you have her insurance info, you could always get there insurance to pay for the check up.

Something similar happened to me other day.. Except I got rear ended, with minor cosmetic damage on the bumper. I still went to get it inspected and turns out the support bar underneath was damaged, so I had that and the entire bumper replaced under their insurance.

Doesn't hurt to get it check out.

There's a styrofoam bar under the mustache for padding. The plastic will flex. The styrofoam usually doesn't. If she pushed you a foot, the bumper may have flexed and popped back out while breaking the styro underneath. It may look fine now, but then wind will start working the edges of the break and making little styro pellets fly out to stick in places you don't want them. Plus it won't have 100% of its impact absorption if something else hits you.

Get it inspected and file a claim against her insurance if necessary.

Sorry to rain on parades but bring the car into either a performance/alignment shop or Subaru itself. It costs nothing to inspect, they're there to quote you damages which the other driver is responsible for. You don't know what parts of your suspension were knocked around.

+1 to get it checked out
I have a 95 prelude that was rear ended by a transport truck at a red light
(we both weren't moving, at a red light and he couldn't see me)
literally zero damage to the paint and bumper, but i had a body shop take a look at it
the entire bar underneath was bent and had to be fixed

There will be internal damage. You'll probably also see stress cracks in the paint.
