Ours say "pass with caution".
If truly bad out I will stay behind but when you come up to one doing 40KPH throwing salt on the bare, perfectly dry highway for some mysterious unknown reason I will pass them!

Can you get a cite for that depending on the condition?

No. It is not against the law.
I need to be very clear though that there are times it should never be done such as on a two lane highway or when the road actually has snow on it.
The ones I am talking about are the "precautionary" salters that are laying salt on a cleared road because policy says to lay salt at a given temperature regardless of if actually needed.

The ones in NY are pass with caution as well. They move at like 20-40mph and there's no way I'm staying behind them the whole time on a highway, especially if there's no snow on the ground at all.

About $5k in damages. Front bumper, right headlight, and sheet metal damage underneath the car.

They said the car will be ready by the end of next week, until then, I'll be driving a Hyundai Sonata.

If you are who I think you are (firestorm FRS with yellow fog lights) this happened right around your house. You may recognize the street if you look closely... Be careful man, crazy drivers out there!

They said the bulb still works so they're not replacing the bulb. From what I could tell it was only minor damage to the housing unit and the lights were still on when I took the pic (if you look closely).

Glad you're okay, first. Secondly, all cosmetic. Only thing against you in this is the color matching. I always hear about Whiteout/SWP having difficulty getting a solid match. Although there may be others that have had a great match and they can prove me wrong. Good luck and take this as a lesson learned the easy way. You would not have fared so well if that car hit you and not your car.

Can confirm poor paint matching on the whiteout.. My back bumper looks like it came from a different car. I still want to get it fixed but I doubt the body shop that did the work will care..

This is where I learned my lesson with my first new car. I took it back two times until they got it right. NEVER let them win the fight. They want to get the job done with the least amount of time and headache. It is your car and they are to service it the way you want it. @suaveflooder had a time getting his rear bumper to match yet he kept having it resprayed until it was VERY close. Whiteout is the best color yet the pearl in it is just a bitch to match. Raven is a good color yet it just stays dirty.
