Anyone else have this issue?
Probably not in their system, which company is this?

That doesn't seem too bad of a price as long as you don't compare it to some of these really low rates others are posting. Again, way too many variables. Each one of those responders next door neighbors might get double the rate for the same car from the same company.

Once is does enter their system correctly, I imagine your quote will be less. It's a good time to shop around anyway.

yea, insurance is gonna be different for everyone... a lot of factors. And every company is going to give you a different rate...

My insurance went up a lil less than $160/month for the BRZ. Full coverage w/ uninsured and underinsured, $40/day rental, roadside assist plus, yada yada yada.... Nationwide.

Might've been less if my wife wasn't a "newer" driver w/ only about 4 years under her belt. It'll probably go down in a year or so. I also just got PA Farm Bureau, and when that goes through, Nationwide gives another BIG discount.

So for 4 cars, I'm paying maybe $470 +/- $6 - 7. For me, I think that's good.

Other companies were trying to charge me extra for being "involved" in an accident... meaning that my car was parked, unoccupied, but being in wrong place at wrong time, lol.... my Civic is an asshole magnet.

How in the hell is this possible!?!? I can understand a small jump when it comes to the Subaru but such a drastic jump for cars that are mechanically the same!?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! I can afford this jump in price but it starts to make owning the car not worth it financially. By the way I am an under 25 male although I am eligible for a 5 years acciident free reduction in the coming new year, still I don't for see that being too great a relief.
Did you get it figured out yet?

At AMA they rate the BRZ at least a hundred less than the FR-S per year. Both are less than the WRX I used to have.

With regards to the vin issue, that does seem strange. Not that I think this is happening in this instance, but VIN numbers can be reused after an auto manufacturer runs out.( if you have time, check out a paper on vin encoding).

Back to what is happening in your case, can you post your first 11 places of your vin? We can decode it to make sure it is just an insurer's mistake in data entry

I'm at around $80 a month for 250/500/100, $500 deductible on my FR-S. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

Late 20s male, masters degree, owns home, clean record.

Well I apparently need a new lookup book. haha, but here is what I can verify makes sense, maybe someone can add to this

JF1 ---> Japan, Fuji Heavy Industries, Passenger vehicles
Z ---> Line value Z: This doesn't exist in my older lookup table, and Year code is either 1983 or 2013, I will guess it is a 2013 BRZ Line?
C---> Body Code C... This is an old Body code for Sedans... Are they reusing old codes now?
A---> Drivetrain code A
C---> Model Identifyer C... Again, not in my old lookup table...
1---> No passive restraints
4---> Checksum digit 4... The weighted sum of your vin Mod 11 = 4
D---> Year 1983/2013/2043
1---> Plant code 1. Which plant in japan is this?

Since I don't have the full vin I cannot check your checksum to make sure it is valid... but should be pretty straight forward if you want to
