My GR steering wheel came in a while ago. As soon as I got it, I sent it to my friend in CA who runs Sweidit. We had talked about having work done for my STI back when I had that but I never got around to it.

So I sent him the wheel along with my shift/ebrake boots. All alcantara with brown matched stitching, along with stitched center marker on the wheel. All ties together well with the GR gauge cluster I think.

I had a black GR push start button on order too, but EMS isn't shipping to the US right now, so I cancelled that. Once that hold is lifted, I'll place the order again and that'll pretty much complete the interior.

Thanks! That was the goal haha

I wanted to add just a few detail pieces inside that would make the car feel a bit more special and enjoyable to look at/touch, while not going too crazy or overboard, maintaining that factory OE kind of look.

Aside from the push start button, the only other thing I would consider is maybe the armrest is tan leather/black alcantara with more padding. But that’s really it.

That wheel turned out great. I hate "D" shaped wheels, so its nice to see one that isn't.

There is just something about owning another version of the same car that always makes the new build outstanding. Fantastic job! This thread alone has motivated me to start modifying my car again after growing bored with it. I can't wait to see future updates. I tried to follow you on instagram but I didn't find you.

Thanks a bunch! I’m pretty happy to be back in something fun again.

I shut off my Instagram a couple days ago. Given everything going on in the world right now, I’ve gotten tired of the constant arguing and bickering and mental gymnastics between everybody. Social media isn’t even enjoyable with all my friends and family arguing over this, that, or the other thing lol.

I’ll probably reactivate it in a few weeks when people calm down a bit.

Late to the party, but happy to see you in another one! Used to follow your old 86's build thread, and am super stoked to see what you'll do with this one. Already looks exciting man!

edit: the hakone green looks beautiful!

Thanks. The Green was definitely the selling point for me lol

Another small update. Got an exhaust. Nameless axleback 2.5" dual exit with 5" mufflers. Sounds good. Smooth exhaust note, more like an inline 4 which is what I wanted. Noise increase is negligible with light accel and sub 4k RPMs. After that, it's noticeably louder.

Quick clip with my GoPro and external mic with some city and highway driving and acceleration/downshifting.

I got lucky though. I contacted Nameless to get an idea of how long the wait would be and they were actually in the process of building one already. So my overall wait time was like a week lol. Big thanks to Nameless for that. Couldn't be happier.

Exhaust sounds ideal for sure! Is your camera upside down by chance? I ask because the audio is reversed.

Haha yeah it was. Mounted to the rear window. Curious about the "audio is reversed" statement though. How does one tell? I've actually never heard that term before lol
