Vented sway bar bushing shield

I’m currently swapping over 2022 GR86 front crossmember/ skid plate parts to my 2013 and discovered that there is a new passenger sway bar bushing shield that has vents in it. I imagine this is because the exhaust is so close to the bushing. Direct fit for all my models looks like, but have not yet confirmed. Will do once I get home from work today.

Yes it is plastic and is indeed part #SU00309172 but also 56440CC010 from Subaru. Like $10 or so.

Before and After.

After taking a look at it installed, the vents seem to be facing the direction of airflow so they are probably intake holes for the secondary cat. For some reason I also thought this piece completely covered the bushing but it sits just below them.

Interesting, I have a related thread here:https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=154522

Does this venting actually help with overpipe temps and sway bar bushing melting issues? I feel like the venting seems like it wouldn't do a lot for the bushing which sits at the side of the overpipe which is closer to the engine and well ahead of the vents
