I began the molding process with the bumper extention...I still have some tweaking, filler, glazing, and sanding to do.

So far so good.

Next up will be temp installing the rear bumper so I can block the union with the rear overfender. Almost ready to two-part epoxy the rear overfender!
@Ashikabi Btw, I'm thinking of cutting the side skirt at the front door gap and molding it to the front fender. This will allow for the fender to be removed if need be. I'd keep the gap between the two sections of the side skirt to 1/16th of an inch or so to keep the look seamless as possible.

I think you got a good plan for a great build. I am running the hks v3 kit and love it I’m using a ecutek tuner for the software

I have the rear bumper extension blocked to the rear overfender... the rear overfender blocked to the side skirt. Skirt will be molded to rear over fender. It's going to look so good!

I ended up cutting the side skirt at the front of the door gap... that will be molded to the front fender. The rest of the side skirt will be molded to the 86. I'm going to make brackets that connect from the belly pinch welds to the inside of the skirt. I need that strength there to keep my mold work from cracking if the skirt were to be kicked by accident. I also need the strength there to support the side steps I'll be fabricating.

I'm really happy with my recent progress! Pics to come once primed.

Hell yeah man I did my widebody to myself. I first popped riveted the fenders together then I decided to welded up the rear fenders together not to long after. I didn’t mold mine but I like tek screw look on the outside. It takes time and patience to do these widebodies. I still need to take mine off and clear them.

Ok... so here are some pics of what I've been up to...

The skirt will be molded...

The front portion of the skirt will be molded to the front fender...

Here are brackets I made to stiffen the skirts in order to prevent my future molding work from cracking. Low skirts often get accidentally kicked when walking up to the door. I still have one more bracket to make.

The brackets also serve as the location to where my ABS sideskirt extensions will mount. I used rivnuts for fasteners.

Molded... I have a little bit to go before I lay down the primer...

I made another bracket for the end of the skirt just past the pinch weld used for jacks... I have one more to drill out... I just wanted to illustrate exactly what the bracket looks like in case anyone wanted to make some of their own.

4mm rivnuts are for the skirt... 5mm rivnuts are for the sideskirt extension.

I'm not a widebody guy because they often look like they are quickly riveted onto a car that had it's wheel wells gutted. I appreciate that you are putting the time and effort into doing it right and making it seamless to the car and fitted so it won't be all wavy and wonky. Keep up the hard work.

Thank you...

I've seen many examples of what you speak of at shows...that lack of attention to detail really takes away from what otherwise would be a clean build.

I am going to close off the wheels wells... I to do not like that open unfinished look.

Some more progress pics... I'll try to get some installed skirt brackets pics this week...

Fiberglassed the pictured contour instead of leaving it open... looks so much cleaner!

Started a side project...going to round off the corners a bit with this fiberglass version... Mounting hole will be countersunk on top instead of having a finishing washer. Not sure when I'll finish this cover.

I'll eventually paint this cover like the Japanese flag.

I'll eventually run the cover that looks best in my engine bay.

I also have a polished version...

**if you are just seeing this for the first time... I'm molding the skirt but I still wanted the front fender to be removable so I cut it.
