Lightbulb Moto-East Flex Fuel kit is official and released!

We'll let the pictures do the talking, but here's what is included for $650

Zeitronix ECA with gauge and sensor
Ethanol compatible hose
Name brand AN anodized fittings throughout--no clamps, no plastic
Push on fittings and 100% reversible with no cutting
Minimalist routing. Look at the picture of the kit mounted. You won't find unsightly looping lengths of hose here
Simple sensor mounting. Ties right to the lines and is as solid as can be
Wire harness for ECU
There are four wires to hook up: Ground, IGN-ON power, sensor IN and ECU output. All crimps/connectors included and terminated where possible.

You can also choose to use the rear o2 instead of the ECU harness. For this you can save 100 and that makes this the most affordable complete flex fuel kit out there!

Mapping is as follows:

Moto-East customer: FREE
If you have hardware/license from another EcuTek tuner: 200 for NA, 250 for SC or stock boost AVO/Greddy, 350 for high boost anything or custom turbo.
If you need a kit then it is 799/849/949 including license & hardware.

It is now live and available here for pre-order:
http://www.moto-east.com/store/moto-...fuel-ft86.html

Initially we did not want to go the pre-order route, but getting enough fittings has taken a bit longer than expected so we are setting a ship date by 3/1, so end of next week the first batch will be out the door (hopefully earlier)

EDIT 3/1: Instructions are live here:

Looks awesome! Can you do a package with just the lines and fittings for those of us who already have the sensor/ECA or have the old flexfire setup?

Good bit of kit, a few questions if I may:

Why ECA instead of ECA2?
Why not use all black anodised fittings?
Why use zip tie to mount the sensor?
Why is there no protection between the paint on the strut tower edge to the non- black anodised fitting?

We can, for those wanting that you can PM for details. Expect it to not be a huge savings though because we don't make much on the fittings, and they take a while to assemble.

1. Packaging and display. They function identically but no extra box with the ECA.
2. Why use all black? We can make them in all black, blue/red also. We like the silver/black combo. It is fully anodized, just silver/black instead of all black.
3. More secure than double sided tape, does not require tapping sheet metal, and keeps it off of the plastic fender liner.
4. Because it is not needed, there's a gap there.

Hey you took my mounting spot!!! LOL

Little tip Mike, instead of using the zip ties, get some line clamps with the rubber on the inside and use some stainless bolts.

Just about done with the final testing and ran it through two gas tanks fine tuning the final version. We really want to make sure we get this spot on, and it looks like it is going very well. We got the rest of the components for the first batch of kits yesterday and starting assembly tomorrow.

VERY IMPORTANT for current flex fuel users and upcoming folks (even if you have someone else's kit).

As the FT86 has both DI and PI, you have two different places you can put the kit in. We chose the port injection line, some choose the DI line. But regardless of which one, under most situations the car is in Direct Injection, and rarely port injection. We've gone as much as 50 miles and still not detected the new fuel on the port line! So if you have a kit that uses the DI as the sensor line, when you go to WOT past 5000 RPM you're getting the old fuel that sits in the rail for as many as 5 full WOT pulls. So if you filled up with e85, sensor indicates e85, and ECU thinks it is e85--in reality you are getting significant doses of pump gas sprayed regardless through the PI.

Our solution to this is as follows:

With our flex fuel tune you can select the VSC button to sport, and that will trigger a "learning mode" where both PI and DI will fire at low loads/rpms. Once you see the ECA stop moving you know that the fuel has pretty much fully circulated. Then you are good to go. We are also going to probably implement this so the first 120 seconds of the car being on it does this too. But we're waiting on EcuTek to fix a bug we found. Should be done shortly. Then you only would trigger the mode if you're not restarting the car or if it needs more time.

For ProECU RaceROM individual tuners we will supply this mapping for you so you can use our kit with your mapping. If you have our tune with either our flex fuel kit or another, we'll add this map in for you as well.

Otherwise having a blast with the setup on the car, testing is the best part of this! With the clutch slipping at full on e85, we are able to run e40 or so and get the good knock resistance on the twin screw while keeping overall power levels sane.
