SATX fam.. I was wondering if someone may be able to give me some insight into some nice backroads to cruise on here in the area? I was also wondering about some nice scenic areas to take pictures. Any response would be appreciated!

I can't make the Texas 86 Day meetups in Ft. Worth on the weekend of 8/6/17 so for grins have decided to do a Sisters run on 8/5/17. I am going solo or with whoever shows up! It's sort of a tradition I guess and at last year's 86 meet having rescued that stranded motorcycle dude that wrecked and missing out on the festivities at the Bent Rim; I kinda want a Sisters redo anyway!

So, for anyone that still reads this ft86club SA Forum ... On 8/5/17, lets meet up at the Apple Store, 14024 State Highway 16N, Medina, TX 78055 @ 8:30-9:00 AM. We'll depart shortly thereafter to Leakey, TX for a counter-clockwise run on RRs 336, 335 and 337 and then lunch at the Bent Rim Grill! PM me if you have questions.

Meet up spot is the Apple Store in Medina (shoot for 8:30-ish), 14024 State Highway 16N, Medina, TX 78055.
Apple Strore opens at 9AM for Restroom access (...be sure to try their homemade apple ice cream).

1. You'll need at least 1/2 tank of gas for the run. Best to fill up in Bandera before arriving in Medina if in doubt.

3. Optional: Bring a FRS radio for COMM if you have one. Channel 5-0.
4. AT&T cell phone service is only provider in the Leakey area and coverage is sporadic on the Sisters run. Verizon drops out past Bandera.
5. Watch out for radar traps around Bandera, Medina, Vanderpool and Campwood areas.
6. Have fun and enjoy the twisties!

Hell I wish I'd have brought my camera to San Antonio with me , if have come out and taken photos in my shitty rental.
