Handbrake not working.

So yesterday as I pulled into my house, I noticed my handbrake not working. Handbrake Pulls up with no resistance and won't engage the brakes. The car only has 1800 miles.

Can't take into subaru until Monday after work. Is there anything I can do?

Well to stop the car from rolling away park the car in the opposite gear then the way your facing say you would roll backwards park it in 1st gear if you would roll forward park it in reverse and leave it in gear and you should prob but some blocks behind your wheels

Yep, the cable could be stretched and just need adjusting (it's easy to adjust).

Or the cable is broke or slipped off an attachment point.

Either way, I'd just let the dealership deal with it.

Handbrake not working.

Any guide or quick walk through for adjusting the cable? I have to remove that whole center assembly or can it be adjust by removing the e-brake boot?

If you're taking it to the dealership, I'd advise you to leave no signs of tampering...just a thought!

Good plan. I have a feeling that something has come unhooked/unscrewed and not just a stretched cable.

Yup, I adjusted the cable but to no avail. It did brake and stop the car from rolling but I would have to pull the handle very very high. Also when I drove and used the hand brake it wasn't braking they way it should, and would clunk in the rear very loud on every pull. Even the slightest of pulls. So damn weird...

Wish me luck on Monday...
