Suggest you replace the shift fork and pivot with Velox's billet options while you are at it

I don't have one but I have kept an eye on development and reviews. The stock fork is a stamped thin piece of steel. Velox is billet aluminum. Much stiffer as the stock one bends under load. Users are claiming far superior clutch feel and engagement over stock. The pivot is cheap. Not a big fail item but for 15$ or whatever it's silly not to swap it IMO. There is a big thread on the forum for the fork you can look at yourself to read reviews and such.

Today I wrapped my rear seat delete center channel. I am almost complete with my RSD! I still need to install some more velcro on the underside of the center channel and repaint and rivet the hinge. Then I have the seat back panel door to upholster. That one will be tricky because I want both sides to be upholstered as clean as possible.

Check out my build thread to see more... link in sig.

I will use this as a pull handle...

And these to secure the door...

Actually occurred yesterday, but took my boss for a ride on our way to a facility inspection, and his first question about 14 seconds in was, "So, what made you want to get this car?" While I proceeded to explain in some detail, in my mind I was just immediately like:

I have been in the newspaper business for a long time. Years ago there was an older guy who reviewed cars. he would have a new car at the paper all the time and I would talk to him about them. I gathered from my conversations that he related the size of the car to the value of it. He liked large luxurious cars and thought you weren't getting your money's worth with a small car. I thought How narrow minded especially for someone reviewing cars.

You either get it or don't get it, in this life their are "Drivers" and people that merely think of a car as an appliance or status symbol.

Got my Monster sport shift knob in today. Was cheaper to order direct from Japan than it was to order from 86worx or Amazon, and only 5 days.

Geeezuz this is a tough time of year.

After 4 months of hibernation my new daily routine is: check outside for conditions check the weather network, leave house through the garage where I swear the little black silhouette starts to speak----- " pssst. Hey! Go ahead. Fire me up. I know you want too. Roads aren't to bad. Just a little warm up. C.mon. Feed your soul." Sigh !!! Tomorrow---- repeat routine.
