How is the tyre wear ? -2 front is somewhat "extreme", is the turn in marginally better as far as the overall feel and grip goes?

ps. Your build is extremely inspirational, i feel like i've "copycat'd" all the mods from you.

I have little mileage with that alignment but it should be OK. I didn't want to go all the way to the max of the camber plates (~3°, I gather) for that reason. We'll see.

And feel absolutely free to replicate my mods, I too got inspired by other people

One of the greatest racetracks in the world. Someday hopefully I'll be able to race it outside of Gran Turismo.

Liked your vids and mods from the start, good you finally started your own thread

Two questions:
- Your impressions from changing from AD08 to AD08R, impressions on track but also cold and wet conditions?
- How did the Öhlins change your driving?

Thanks man. To anwser your questions:
  • About the AD08Rs, hard to tell. I didn't drive them back-to-back (a winter came and went in the mean time) and I went up a notch in width (215 to 225). That being said, I am under the impression the Rs need more warming up to the full potential.
  • With the Öhlins, the car is actually easier to drive. It's less all over the place, less prone to snap oversteer too. The overall experience is more composed.

I did record a 3-lap session with the GoPro but the exposure is all wrong (the outside is way over exposed) so it's not gonna make for a super immersive ride. I'll see what I can do with some post processing but I am not expecting miracles.

Hi everyone!

So like I said, the footage I got from my last Nürburgring session had poor exposure settings... I tried to improve it as best I could, here it is:

Cheers!

Hey there !

Quick update with the last trackday of the season (sigh) and the few upcoming mods.

I am having the clutch fork replaced under warranty soon (squeaking clutch: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56882 ) and I'll get the Mishimoto catch can installed at the same time. As well as Cusco shift springs. Small things, but the devil is in the detail!

And without further ado, here is the track video!
My OEM wheels are now fitted with Pilot Sport 3s, but I bought an extra pair of OEM wheels/tires to put at the rear for such occasions. So. Much. Fun.

Have you seen any feedback on the Cusco springs? I've looked and haven't found much comparisons with the MTec springs. Or are springs just springs? I actually just ordered some stuff (Pivot DPW and a few STI steering rack bits) from japanparts and had the Cusco springs in my basket as well, but removed them at the last second, because couldn't find much feedback and thought I'd play it safe with the Mtec's...
