Help Morimoto HID kit

So I recently received a morimoto HID kit and went to install it to find out it has mounting brackets instead of the 3M adhesive tape... Where do I attach these? Do I need to get the tape? Of course it doesn't come with directions and the ones on TRS website don't mention mounting the ballast

You can just drill a hole anywhere or use an existing hole to mount the bracket, no real need for a install guide..

If I were you though, I'd just get some 3M automotive mounting tape like this or at O'Reilly/Autozone:
[ame="http://www.amazon.com/3M-03614-Scotch-Mount-Molding-Tape/dp/B002JOVUO0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1361146157&sr=8-1&keywords=3M+automotive+mounting+tape"]3M 03614 Scotch-Mount 1/2" x 15' Molding Tape : Amazon.com : Automotive[/ame]

Clean the surface of the ballast and location in your engine bay, slap on the 3M tape, and stick it somewhere. I've been through about 3+ HID kits that came with mounting brackets. I just used my own 3M tape to mount it anywhere I wanted. Threw away the brackets it came with.

If you want a really strong bond, use 70% isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) to clean the surfaces, press the ballast down for at least 1 minute when mounting while using a hair dryer to heat up the double sided tape. Gonna be honest though, my very first HID kit, I didn't clean anything, pressed it down for a few seconds (no heat used) - and it held up for 5 years until I sold the car.

I'm not ready to drill into my car so I'm going to pick up some 3M tape tomorrow. Is 91% alcohol ok or do I need the 70% for some reason? I just already have 91%... Thanks

91% is fine in this case since you're not using it on any painted surfaces, just make sure it's completely dry before stick on the tape (it'll evaporate fast with a few wipes anyway).

I just keep 70% around to use on my car paint to strip off wax or other surface protectants when I'm mounting a trunk lip w/ 3M tape or something - too high percentage is supposedly bad for your car paint.
