My car is cursed
I have the most random weird shit happen to my car and I park the furthest away from most other cars any chance I get.
I went shopping for pillow cases and came out to see this: (I threw the cart and it landed like that) |

That actually looks like some piece of shit did it on purpose. I think I would ask the store if they have surveillance video of the parking area.

Parking is an art. You can't park too close or too far away. You have to park next to the vehicles as a sort of barrier for errant carts. Too close and you will get hit for sure. I think in the middle of the lot where the cars begin to thin out is optimum for protection from idiots. Too far out by itself and you get the jerks that will damage your car on purpose(like this appears to be) or they were cutting through the lot. If forced to park next to other vehicles you have to pay attention to the condition and age of the vehicle. Always go for the spot next to an island/curb so you at least have only one car possible to get next to you and park very close to that curb to give the idiot next to you plenty or room to swing the door. If it's a car the elderly generally drive, stay far away even if it's new since they probably don't care since they trade it in every couple years and have extra cash to waste. If a vehicle is dented/rusted/scratched already, they definitely aren't paying attention to swinging their doors out and giving it more damage. You also have to look at the elevation to make sure you are uphill for those rolling carts.
Location Elevation Protection Judging by the pics, it seems the car is in a safe location where the lot thins out but it appears to be downhill. |

A cart wouldn't dent that badly just being on a rogue drift. That looks intentional. Piss anyone off when you were in the parking lot?
Edit: an added tip from the post above is to avoid parking next to minivans or SUVs if possible as that's a higher chance of children and children careless. I.e. kicking their doors open, racing to the car to get the good seat and swing the door hard when they open it etc etc. They are the death of beautiful cars. |

And stay right away from any "status" cars. It is often the total reverse of how you think the drivers of these expensive cars would act. Many just don't give a damn about other peoples cars.

I wouldn't be so sure. It all depends on the conditions. Was the cart heading down a hill? Was it a windy day? Etc.
Last week I went to a local mall and while coming back to my car, I saw a rogue cart get pushed by the wind and smoke a parked SUV in the driver side door. It didn't even travel that far, and it but a solid ding in the door, very much like the photos above. I actually started to chase the cart but couldn't get to it fast enough. I was really glad that I parked at the top of the hill gradient, next to an island. I'm not saying that this wasn't done on purpose, I'm just saying that it could happen on its own. Sorry for your troubles OP . I would be crying if that was my car. Well, crying followed by a killing spree. |

So yah, I can agree with the 'status' car sentiment. Some people just have too much money, and they don't care at all. |

It's situations like this where you just wish you could have caught them in the act. To paraphrase Pulp Fiction, messing with another man's vehicle is pretty much the most chicken shit thing you can do. Guaranteed the person who did it is a weak little *****. It just gets me angry thinking about it and it's not even my car.

Well, that's a shame, there, Chazbo ..........
However, it appears that a good PDR person would be able to coax the fender back into shape. humfrz |

Sadly you wouldnt be worrying about shit if there was only 1 spot to oark or one person in this world that is why God gave us weed for the things The Lord accidently created.. Anyhow park next to a curb! Away from everybody lmao and smoke weed! That is about the only way you can prevent anxiety because of these losers and just install a stronger scarier alarm system that will pull out guns.. Serioisly these people are losers we need a better alarm system scion!
