HELP! New wheels do I get CEL?

Hello Guys,
I am planning to replace my OEM Stock wheels into Aftermarket wheels (XXR 527). I believe stock wheels have sensors, and I read somewhere that they got problems when they change wheels. they got CEL, TPMS light, ABS light, and doesn't accelerate.

Can anyone confirm this or do I need to do anything (Delete codes, etc) when I change to aftermarket wheels?

Thanks & Regards

TPMS light is unrelated to CEL. You should have no problems/limitations to performance/handling/functionality, except having always lit TPMS warning light on dash (to some annoying enough though), if you don't bother to buy tpms sensors for new wheels and pair them with car/ecu, or relocate old ones to new wheels.

Your almost there but here's the info.
The sensors are just low tire pressure sensors.

You have two options:
Buy new sensors for the new wheels.
Install old sensors on the new wheels.

You can also run new wheels with out the sensors, but you'll have the low tire pressure light on the dash.

If it was me I'll just swap out the sensors into the new wheels. But before I have my foot in my mouth, you'll have to see if the oem sensors will fit the new wheels. If not you'll need a sensor that will fit.

Simple stuff huh?

Piff I just add a little pepper to that "look ma, I'm a engineer" post.
Anyone that starts off like that they get the full pork and beans from me. And he clearly bought the wrong car.

To add some less important info, sensors, whose readings are used for ABS/traction and stability control/e-diff and alike nannies, about which you looked to worry about, are not TPMS sensors for tire air pressure on wheels, but wheel speed sensors in wheel hubs, that are not changed, stay on car, when you swap only wheels.

Another interesting nugget of information, is that as long as the sensors detect the correct pressure against them, they will keep the light off based on proximity and are not motion activated. You could activate them, put them in a pvc pipe filled with cotton fill (so they're not flying around), drill a hole for a valve stem, seal it and pressurize to 35psi. Then just keep it under the passenger seat and never see the light again!

Of course, this means you'll have to watch your tire pressures because you can no longer rely on the dummy light.
