Thank you. Following Anderzz' point about 'choosing my supporting mods properly', if my goal is longevity, are there any supporting mods that you would suggest?

Engine oil cooler, catch can or AOS, one of the upgraded Recirc valves people have mentioned in this thread (I got the forge motorsports one)

Everything else from there is just proper maintenance or preferential upgrades

Just an update at 11k miles with the c30 kit and still happy to report no issues. Debating fabbing up some heat shield for the air filter. In stop and go traffic IAT temp are in the triple digits since summer here sucks. @CSG Mike @Oscar have any thoughts on that?

IAT temps would be just as high NA.

If you're sitting in stop-and-go traffic, everything in the engine bay is getting hot from lack of airflow.

I have replaced my MAF sensor with Denso 197-6160 which can be found for less than $100 instead of stock sensor (22680AA400). The substitute is working great, fits and looks exactly the same. If it works with my FI engine, it should work with any stock engine as well. Denso 197-6160 is more widely available since it is shared by many Toyota models including Corolla. I bought mine from Amazon for $80. FYI ...

Datalog it to make sure it's reading and scaled identically!

My original MAF sensor is not working properly and even cleaning is not fixing anymore. I will post a datalog with the new sensor here for your comparison. But the engine is revving smooth in the full rpm range and power is restored based on my driving.

Working through my tune right now with Zach at Delicious and the car seems to be pulling timing above 6800 rpm. Any ideas of a source?

Car is at 76k miles, engine oil swapped every 3k with Amsoil 5w30.
Runs on New England 93
C38 kit
DW 700cc Injectors
DW 300 Fuel Pump
Fluidampr Harmonic Damper
HKS EL Head
TRD Catback
Upgraded last week to a Southbend Stg3 Clutch (not that I think that's relevant but trying to be thorough)
Car had plugs and coils done within the last 10k

What are people seeing for intake air temps on track?

Logs show I'm hitting 125-150F consistently on an 80F day.

I've seen 120's on a hot days, 90+. If youre seeing 150 IATs at 80s that doesnt sound right.

30-50F over ambient, max. 150F on a 80F day, something is not right with your car.

About 10k miles into the JRSC journey.... Nothing to report but smooth running and many smiles per gallon.

How does the kit feel around town below 5k? Does it feel like a significant bump?

I'm interested in the kit primarily for the top end gains on track, but I'm still hoping its blast to drive at reasonable speeds.

Edit: Bonus question. Before you bought it, did you consider a turbo setup instead? If so, what made you go with the JRSC instead?
