16K for a new engine without labor??????
The entire car isn't worth that much, I call BS! 7K for a stock long block? Built short blocks plus heads cost less. IDK WTF they are smoking up there in NY, but it should be illegal. |

Honestly, I'd rather have a spare stock engine, and then do a mild build. If you're planning to go crazy or heavy track, you may want to invest in a built block. Though if doing that, maybe look into a company that has bespoke parts and not a hodgepodge of random brands.
