Are these tires still being made in 215/45 or 225/45-17 sizes?

I just got a set of 215's online - they were manufactured in Jan of 2015, and they seem to be kind of hard to find on-line - lots of places seem to be out of stock for most sizes.

GTradial website doesn't list very many sizes (not these), and the global site only has 3 :

Global - 3 sizes :
http://www.gtradial.com/global/Tire-...s/CHAMPIRO_SX2
195/50-15, 235/45-17, 265/35-18

US - 10 sizes, 3 in 17" "
http://www.gtradial-us.com/en/CHAMPIRO_SX2.html
215/40-17, 235/40-17, 235/45-17

Just as a data point, I've ordered 215/45R17 SX2s from Walmart this week and just got a set with "4417" marking, i.e. manufactured in October/November of 2017.

As another data point, received 245/40R17 SX2s from TireCrawler last week, also marked 4417.

Thanks, I was actually going to ask the same question.
Assuming the size of the contact patch is roughly proportional to the width of the thread, 31-ish psi sounds like a reasonable number for 245s?

Although I'm sure I'm missing something important here

Dumb question but do these tires matter which way they are mounted. My tires all had a blue line on the outer side of the tire so I mounted mine with this facing out rather than in closer to the wheel well.

I've gone through a couple sets of Radial GT UHP tires and they were great. 235/45/17's for about 50 bucks apiece from Discount Tires. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find them for a few years. Looks like the SX2's should be pretty good but they cost quite a bit more.

Anyone know where you can still order SX2s in 245/40-17?

Tirecrawler seemed to be the best source in the past, but they are out of business as of 8/1 according to their website. Simpletire is out of stock, as are all the other places I been able to find on-line.

Well - there is one listing on ebay for $158 each for a set of 2013 production. Hmmmm - 7+ year old SX2s or new RS4s for the same price ...

They seem to have several sizes of SX2, but no 245/40-r17.

I just tried to call GTRadial (866 GT Tires which is also the same # as Giti). Select sales and it just rings 5 times and then says 'the person you are trying to reach is unavailable'. No option to leave a message/etc.

I've emailed both giti and GT Radial asking about this tire and when/if the SX2 RS will be available in 17" sizes. No response.

Called a local dealer here and he says he can't get them right now (sounded like this region).
