Not correct. Any change netting a negative points balance allows you to drop a class

Interesting. I figured they wouldn't let you drop below your base class....

Thanks for pointing this out! I was thinking it was 1 point per 10mm. That gives me two more points, wahoo.

You can still race in TTF but not in TTG and TTH. Here is a quote from the GCR: Quote:

On a side note to you wanting to run Hoosier R6,A6. That is a discontinued tire. Just keep that in mind. Plus our size is no longer available from Hoosier. From Hoosier website, MORE THAN 4,000 TIRES MOVED TO DISCONTINUED STATUS AVAILABLE ONLINE LAKEVILLE, IN (February 11, 2015) -- That's right. We have moved more than 4,000 tires to discontinued status and reduced their prices accordingly. This includes several of the popular A6 and R6 sizes--but they won't last long! Hoosier is continuing its FREE SHIPPING on all discontinued tires sold over the internet to anywhere in the 48 contiguous (U.S.) states. NOTE: All orders will have a $15/order "processing fee" applied. These are brand new tires that we need to sell at discounted prices in order to clear space in our warehouse for this year's race season. Orders will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Quantities are limited, so please act quickly. To see a complete list of all our discontinued tires just click here or just click here to begin shopping.

Anyone still race in TTD? What's the current set up as far a points that you're running. I'm looking to get into some TTD action soon, and I have no clue where to start looking as all the threads are pretty old now.

TTD will most likely be changing to TT6 for the 2018 year. This may sway a few people from building a car for a dying class.

I'm running TTD for the first time this year. The Rocky Mountain region isn't super competitive, though. It's not like I built the car to be competitive in a certain class. I have built the car to be reliable and handle well on the track, though. AP Sprint with DTC-60s, RCE T2s, Maxxis RC1s and RCE street camber plates, primarily.

I listed my base class competition weight as 2,800 pounds. That's probably less than I need to, and it gave me nine points. In all I have 16 points. I figured if I have wiggle room with points I might as well just list my weight as something very low just to be safe, as I have not weighed the car yet. I'm hoping to do that tomorrow.

Maybe someday. I don't have any plans to get out there this year, although i have a few people asking me to make the effort. I've driven the track only one day, and that was a couple days before it officially opened many years ago. |
