Car won't start no clicking noise
Was driving it in the morning, then parked the car for a bit. After awhile when I leave and try to start the car, all the lights came on the dash, interior lights, radio, etc, but can't start the car. There is no clicking noise at all. The battery was replaced early last year and I checked the terminals and they looked clean.
Any ideas? Could it be the starter since it doesn't seem to crank? Sent from my ASUS_I01WDX using Tapatalk |

Even though the battery was changed you still need to start there. Check the voltage and get back to us. Don’t go chasing upstream items until battery streangth is confirmed.

It's as the tcoat days. Get the battery tested. If it's good, then you're looking at a bad starter most likely.
If your car isn't push to start then of course there's the super rare and unlikely even that your ignition tumblers are going bad. That typically only happens to 25 year old vehicles with a ton of stuff on the keychain though |

Power source. Power distribution. Powered device. Always trouble shoot in that order. Never skip a step. We have seen many people on here jump straight to replacing starters only to find they had a dirty battery connection or loose ground wire. Bad tumblers usually result in a complete failure not just a no start. He has auxiliary power. Another major cause of no start with MT cars is a bad clutch switch but that test comes in step two ( distribution) so needs to wait until source is checked.

Check the starter fuse under the hood, it is the pink one with 3 fuses in one. This just recently happened to me.

also, don't forget the immobilizer circuit. i believe on the key-cars, everything else will turn on, but the computer will not power up the fuel pump, injectors, and starter.

if the fuse blew, that means that something is wrong. have an expert automotive electrical person look over the car.

Everyone here has great ideas that you should definitely try, but I'm gonna be honest: If it's a manual and I were having this trouble, I'd have tried roll starting it by now. If it works you narrow the investigation to the starting circuit. If it fails, it's time to check anything else.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Took the battery out and load tested it and it was fine. Brought it into the shop now and having it looked at. I'll post back when I get an update. Sent from my ASUS_I01WDX using Tapatalk |

I came here late because I thought this was a simple problem that didn't need me, and would be fully answered on the first reply but holy hell do you guys like to complicate things.
The starter is accessible on this car, you only need to probe the switch terminal on the starter itself with a test light while a helper cranks the ignition, sheesh. It's not that complicated. If you want to make double sure you can always test light the b+ terminal and check the engine ground wire(s). This only gets complicated if the b+ and ground check out but not the switch signal. |
