You mean if flash disable cel? If so yes

Working on 2017 tune support right now. Just go the def file a few days ago so it won't be too much longer.

We would see a dyno chart comparation between early vs new model? Same bolts on like header and tune

Can you confirm this is for a 2017 6MT?

Shiv just emailed me a test file for checksum verification. But noted to not load onto my car yet!

Does anyone know how the new 2017 model gets around the torque dip? There has to be a change to the Headers or intake runner length. Tune alone cannot replace lack of airflow from experience.

AFAIK the hardware mods to 2017 Manuals only
intake manifold design change and its aluminium
larger bend radius intake tube (similar to aftermarket offerings)
air filter now paper based not cotton based, ie similar to aftermarket performance air filters
new larger diameter primary tube header (still with integrated cat)

Great thanks. With most people moving from Aluminum to Composite manifold it is strange to see Subaru go the opposite way even if they were planning on boosting.

The bend and filter change appear just for top end air flow improvement. The trick can be in the larger diameter header that will now scavenge at a higher engine speed. The old headers hit peak scavenging at ~2800rpm I believe and from there on it died off slowly. Perhaps this one peaks at a later engine speed so by the time the scavenging dies off the power band picks up reducing the dip. This could sacrifice the really low end but who cares.

As long as the FA20 is in the car, there will always be a torque dip. I did 400 miles on 101 today, and spent the majority of the trip under 4k and above the speed limit. What it needs now, though, is a seventh gear.

Somebody do this ASAP and report back. I'm going to wait for others success before I try again. Hope there is not something wonky with my particular car that caused a failure, but Shiv said all should have been well. Anyway, y'all hurry up and flash!

I got the same test file and it loaded to the OFT ok. Not flashing the car until he gives the go ahead. Plus, I want to get more miles on it.

I'm coming from a e92 m3 and that car has one of the best torque curves ever.

Changing the headers out makes it quite nice to not have the dip, but honestly the car is so good stock, it doesn't bother me that much. More power, drivability and slightly corrected curves are just nice bonuses.

I've flashed my car with the test as per Shiv's instruction, he informed that he'll need a day or 2 to work out the tune!

I did notice after flashing the test file, my car idled differently. Perhaps maybe I am on a Canadian car? :S
