I did not want to open a new thread and just wanted to get your opinion.

I got quotes from several dealers (in MA) for a white or blue 2019 BRZ limited AT including some options (mirror compass/HomeLink, interior illumination, cargo tray, rear bumper applique, and wheel lock-they charge approximately $550 for all the options). All quotes were received through the online sale department. Best quote for a white car was $27,423 (before TTL). Best quote for a blue one was $28,950 (before TTL). The mileage on both cars is 4 miles.

I like the blue a little more over the white but the price difference is not that small. I believe that I can reduce the numbers a little more after I ask them to beat the lower price.

The Kiley Blue Book says (options included): MSRP: $31,492 - Invoice: $29,526 - Fair Purchase: $29,325 (includes destination excludes TTL and fees).

Just want to ask your opinion about these costs? Do you think I got a good offer?

Thanks

Car Gurus lists the 'Great Deal" price for a similarly equipped BRZ at $27,919. I would ask the dealer of Blue BRZ if he can beat the offer you received on the White one. I wouldn't mention the difference in colors to the dealer. You also need to have the dealers include their fees, if any.

Seems a bit high. After shopping around for some time I realized all the dealers in my area were really trying to get the 2018 models off the lot and we're offering large discounts. Unless you have your heart set on a 2019, see if there are any 2018 models still sitting on the lot. I got my 2018 limited for $24,000.

You right! They can easily take the advantage for the color and resist. I can’t believe that they really reduce prices like this. I am really sad for people just stepping in and getting a car without doing any search

I wanted a white 2019, but for ~6k off MSRP I went with the silver 2018. Time to use that 6k toward wheels/tires/coilovers/exhaust!

Hey man, they'll never give you the best prices through their online quote-- at least in my experience. When I was purchasing my BRZ I just called a bunch of dealers in my area and asked them what their best price was on the car, and that I was ready to buy. If you let them know you're calling around to see who can give the best price, someone will cut you a deal.

If they try to **** you around, bring up the TrueCar price or if you already got a quote from somewhere else and see if they can beat it. For my own conscience and not to be a jerk to the sales guys, I never told them which dealer was giving me the quote-- I just said, "Look man, I'm not telling you who's giving me the quote, it's not fair to them. Give me your best price and we can talk. I'll buy today if the price is right for me".

I called about 5-6 dealers and the best quote I got was ~5.5k off MSRP for a 2018 Performance Pack (some of them were only offering 1.5k off lmao). Then I called one last place and they said they'll do 6k off and I bought it that day.

I was pricing out the series gray at ira subaru danvers a few months ago, but decided to go used, I just checked online, they still have it. Its 6mt. You should prob buy a 500$ car on craigslist and learn stick.

I got my driving license 20 years ago and used MT for 15 years. The problem is not the MT. It will be a daily car, no cornering no track days. I like the shape of the car, a 2 door sports car, paddle shifters are great IMO and so on. AT is completely fine. Thanks

You are completely right! I wish I got your message before I had the experience 2 days ago with the dealer. Let me tell!

I asked for a quote from 10 dealers for a breakdown of all fees, taxes, and options I want. 5 of them replied, one with the best deal ($ 29,890, the white BRZ). The one with the best deal gave me the numbers during our email traffic. So my last email was asking the confirmation of the OTD (price, taxes, fees, and options) and she said its approximately right. I trusted them and sent the other dealers this price and asked them if they can beat it so I will give them my business. One of them (the Blue BRZ) responded that they might beat it without the options (they asked 600 for option) and they asked for the quote from the other. I scratched the dealer and sale person's name on the email and sent it to them (I should do what you suggested, not sending the email conversation).

They replied by saying that the dealer is saying approximately, I have only email conversation and most probably that price will change when I enter the shop. I felt bad and turned back and ask the other dealer to provide an original quote with the breakdown of everything.
No response. Sent another email no response.

I called them and the manager told me that the person I had all email traffic has the day off. She also told me that it was not the OTD price and the options were not included in the price. She said that the person was a new starter and that they do not give OTD price online (while others easily do). Best price is in store. I was so confused. How can someone lie so easily for something I had already confirmed. If the online sale rep is new why did she not transfer a serious buyer to a more experienced rep! So I did not go further and closed after thanking them.

Now, I am stuck. The dealer with the Blue BRZ was right! I have no clue how to proceed because I know they (blue bRZ) will not drop their price anymore (I don't have the best deal anymore).

Any suggestions on how to knock the door of the Blue BRZ dealer?

Meanwhile, it was Stateline Subaru in MA who wanted me to trap in the store.

Thanks
