Improved racing oil cooler thermostat/remote oil filter. Using a larger mobile 1 oil filter M-210A. Used an existing 12mm bolt hole to mount it.

@ILLSMOQ is the hammering of the trans tunnel absolutely necessary for the Vorshlag kit? Having read their R&D posts on the kit, I don't recall reading that (while they made a big deal of how avoiding such measures were essential for a "production" kit).

Thanks for your documentation - I'm sure this will be very informative in the future!

Yes it is required in a few spots. You also have to cut a bit more out that they don't show.

Any concerns with cooking stuff in the steering linkage? (I don't know if there are bushings around there or not).

There is still room to get the keeper bolt out to remove the steering shaft?

There's no way to fit the massive (compared to stock trans) T56/TR6060 on there without hammering, unless you do like someone who actually cut up and installed a brand new, wider tunnel in there.

Probably depends on the headers you decide to use...there is always a way though right?

As for the heat.

I removed all the fuel lines from the factory location and even moved the two brake lines up as high as possible....covered them in heat shielding and my exhaust will be ceramic coated by swaintech. The steering joint...I don’t know how well it can handle the heat but I don’t have my header primaries wrapped too tightly around it and with the ceramic coating...I don’t think I will have any heat issues.

This build is fantastic. Love how clean and organized the bay is. Job well done. Excited to see it run.

Thanks! Me too! Getting super close! I have to finish the headers, pie cut and weld up the rest of the exhaust...then I can ship them off to coating. During that wait I’ll finish up all the other lines and wiring.

Long story short. I wasn’t crazy about how the exhaust turned out. It was hung to low killing my ground clearance. I’m re-doing the exhaust...then I noticed some things on the headers I didn’t like....and I went on vacation.

Back at it, I took the headers apart to fix the things I didn’t like, slag and weld beads inside the tubes, primary tube ends not all the same length, which would have given me exhaust leaks for sure and one of my burns stainless merge collectors was modified in a way I didn’t like (I sent it back to Burns while I was on vacation to be repaired)

Final trim on the headers to get all the tubes to seat into the collectors is done. Now I need to do the final weld on the collectors and head flanges...then finish the rest of the exhaust
