Exclamation Is this dealer mark-up for real?

Can’t tell where the OP is located, but I wouldn’t be surprised….

... But it's in Cali, so some rich kid will buy it. That's pretty much the one I would want too, except manual not auto.

EDIT- After sobering up, I'm remembering that a posted comment could come up in browser searches for years. I don't know the dealer at all... Anyway, maybe they really want it to not sell for a few weeks to draw in customers.

I've been to Putnam Subaru the other day and saw this exact car.
Yes, it had the $15k markup.

Couldn't disagree more.
That was literally the best dealership experience in my life.
No attempts to sell me anything I don't want, unlocked the car for me, let me try every single thing I wanted without rushing me at all (I spent 15+ minutes exploring all the menus of the infortainment system alone, took photos of the oil cooler lines, sat with the helmet on for 5+ minutes, etc.), answered any questions I had, and had a nice chat overall.

If the sticker says $15k markup it doesn't mean this is what is going to be the deal when someone gets the car.
I'm sure someone can negotiate it down to $5k or so.
Or would you call anyone who's selling their 2019–2020 car for $30k+ now an A-hole as well?
That's just how the market works.
Limited supply, same or higher demand = higher prices.
If you know that you can put an order for MSRP and ok waiting a few months, just do it.
If not, you know the ballpark price for the luxury of having no wait.
You know who are A-holes? Ford dealers who added markup on delivery to cars pre-ordered at MSRP.
So far I haven't seen any Subaru dealers doing that, thankfully.

That being said, I wouldn't buy this very car for this amount of money.
And yes, also because it's an automatic

Regardless, that is still an insane mark-up.

$1.5K off MSRP by March. That's my wager.

The markup is insane but it’s one of the nicest dealerships ever. I went in with no intent to buy a brz in 2014 and they let me on a solo drive of an in stock brz. Asked me to go have a nice drive with my wife.

They’re a bit too far from me, otherwise I would have gone with them for my 22 brz order.

If that's the adjusted market value, then I'm selling mine as soon as I get it.
