+1 the only thing to suggest until seeing the alignment printout is making sure suspension arm bolts are tight in the back. Most should be around 86 ft-lbs

So you're taking an exit loop at 80 mph. Not to be a jerk, but are you just going too fast and your rear end is breaking loose? Why would you do the pedal dance to turn off the stability control etc? Also, you referenced tire size, but didn't mention the condition of them or maybe possible poor road conditions. Based on what you said, it's still could be a bunch of different things that are causing your issue.

My rear toe is set at 0.08, before the alignment with vsc and traction control off, the car wouldnt jerk so badly when cornering. Pedal dance a first loop and it felt great. I thought oh the alignment might of fixed it. Then the next loop i did 80 and as i exited, thats when the nightmare almost happend. Sometime this week ill have to get under and check suspension. Also ill get alignment sheet up. Thx

1. Slow down until you get this figured out.
2. Tires: What KIND of tires? How many miles are on them and do they appear in good condition? Can you measure the tread depth? What are your tire pressures? 3. Can you take a picture of your alignment print out and post it? 4. Are the coilovers your only suspension mods? 5. Do you have a good local Subaru or race shop nearby? - Andrew |

I asked for -2 camber front and factory specs foe the rest. Because i only have coilovers. He couldnt adjust the rear. My tires are hankoon evo v12, about 5k miles on it. During straight driving its fine. But if i was gonna switch lanes fast, it will jerk me pretty bad. Spring rates are factory, i believe 8k 8k.. |

My guess is that your alignment is screwed up. I'm not buying that those are your actual alignment specs (fyi, it's stupid easy to put whatever specs you want on that printout - for a tech, not the OP).
I'd highly recommend checking to make sure everything is tight and then bring to another alignment shop.....even a dealer if you have one local. Also, I'm assuming the car is slammed given the rear camber. I personally would raise the car up a bit as that will improve drive-ability. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk |

Under alignment pic was pic of car. It IS slammed. No wheel gap, no suspension travel, and no driveability . I guess though he may need that much rear camber simply for rear wheels to not rub on fenders at such drop, not sure.
Well, except of probably observable extra rear tire camber wear and probaly also wear on rear axle joints, his rear alignment doesn't look that bad toe-wise/evenness wise, which often are among very common causes for ease of loosing rear grip. Though that front alignment freaks me out with half degree of difference for both front camber and caster. I guess those coilovers have camberplates so tech should be able to dial any camber within some .. 0-2deg? I have suspictions that just one of camberplates are installed differently. For example at different angle to affect both caster/camber, or misadjusted caster if it is adjusted separately like on eg. raceseng cascamplates, or all that tech did at front - dialed camber at camplates by notches on them w/o looking at actual alignment, then did a bit work on toe and left at it deciding to not bother more with cycles of crawling up for camber adjustment at camberplates and then back under car for toe adjustment. Rookie_34: btw, like i8ur911 did, i also would advise to rise back car a bit to gain back some suspension travel, comfort and compliance for daily driving, reduce illchange of roll center, reduce that excessive rear camber and so on. Lowering within inch should make things much more reasonable/usable. To my uneducated eye alignment doesn't seem that bad to easily loose rear traction. Maybe @Racecomp Engineering may comment better these numbers? |
