He's legit. He's even willing to try adding color to the clear coat of the weave I'd want even though he's never done it before.

Originally I was thinking I'd put an order in this month but it'll prooobably be on hold for a bit since I just spent money on my stage 2 stuff, plus do I reeeally need a functional CF hood right now? Ehhhhhhh.

yes, we all need a functional hood and duck butt trunk. Everyone should by the trunk just because of the name. duck butt. It's awesome.

Im getting desperate for finding ways to get more weight off the front a complete CF Dash could save a ton of weight.

Also bumping this if anyone has any pics of this hood with the 2017+ 86 front. Not sure the angle vents of the hood will flow with curves of the 86 front visually. I know this hood is highly functional

Both have been very helpful.
Thanks! Hopefully, it the NACA duct doesn't hit my intake. I am asking Joel to confirm the fitment.

Good luck! It might also be close to the left hand airbox clip if you have the mesh installed over the vent.

I wish I never stumbled on this thread. This just jumped to the top of the next mod list. Only concern for me is clearance for a Harrop SC (looks to be a non issue if an Edelbrock fits) and brake duct hose clearance with a Verus AOS.

I wouldn't want to paint it, maybe try a color matched vinyl.

Been waiting for 8 months + and no updates from marsh composites. Original quote was 4 to 5 months wait time. Due to Covid-19, still no ETA.

Any other good quality vented hood you guys suggest?

Feb 8, 2021 Update - looks like my hood will be shipped few weeks from now.

Varis or Amuse. If weight isn't a focal point then Vis AMS or Seibon are decent options.

Hi All,

I finally installed the Marsh Composites carbon hood. It is a lot lighter than stock hood (a bit of surprise there).

For those of you who has a Cosworth Supercharger, the passenger side does not clear the Cosworth Supercharger intake duct and a bit of cutting is required. After trimming the NACA duct that the hose will not be able to fit perfectly but can be installed.

Other than that the hood is very well built. Having said that the packaging is super awesome too! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a nice hood!

The hood is a lot nicer in person than on photo IMO. I was not convinced when I saw it on the picture but I love the hood in person.

The vented hood really helps in lowering coolant temperature (very noticeable on highway).

Local shop quoted me $1900 CAD to paint the hood and I decided to go for the Varis color scheme (wrap 2 corners of the hood) instead.
