That battery is so pretty that I'd get longer cables and bolt it to the roof

I put one of these in my 03 WRX... it worked great all year long (yes including CT winters) and even after long sits.

Crappy Tire sold me one that was already 2 years old (okay it was a Sunday nobody else was opened, the battery sat there for 2 years not even tendered) and honestly no issues... yet! I do have a Ctek on it every week tho.

Is the WRX project finished?

Lots of people have success with optima, but the normal person doesn't buy the volume a dealer can.

We buy them a pallet at a time at work and have many lose a cell within 3-6 months. We also started having issues with the terminal studs melting under constant load and went back to using the SAE posts.

I had a brand new yellow top not make it a year in my truck. Few of the guys here at my work are into lowriders with hydraulics and all. They did a group buy on optima's through us and also had many drop a cell as well. They just do not handle vibration like they used to.

We made the switch to either Odyssey or Northstar and have had much better luck as I don't believe we have had to warranty either in the last couple years.

The STi sleeper wagon? Mostly, yes. It's the 04 STi driveline out of my old WRX, an STi motor that was in another WRX wagon, and an 05' Impreza wagon shell car with 40k mi. So a full JDM STi swap. Mostly (JDM) OEM except a front mount intercooler so I don't have the hood scoop giving it away. It runs, drives, has been tuned, registered, passed emissions. It puts down 272ft/lbs to the wheels on a mustang dyno. It looks boring as hell on the outside just a plain silver wagon. I still haven't figured out the environmental controls yet... I will need defrost for the winter and it's approaching rapidly. I also want to get the stock DP out so I can max out the twin scroll turbo. It's only time and money... but for now I have recurrent training in Witchita, KS and then I go to Las Vegas for my birthday and a little vacation so hopefully before it gets REALLY cold out... I have been driving it like twice a month though for the sake of keeping the fluids moving and it's pretty fun. Doesn't corner like the BRZ but man it rips down the straights. Plus the range of rpms where you get lots of TQ is like almost 4k so yeah other people think they got something for a hot second and then oops they have to shift and I'm still just getting warmed up.

But those cars had previous 04 JDM STi swaps. It's one big Frankenstein machine. I'm actually surprised we pulled it off.

United States Import Market. There is nothing Japanese domestic about using those parts.
