Get a quieter catback.

Want peace and quiet? Go with the Touring86.

The Laguna90 is not meant for FI applications.

FWIW, I have a Touring86 exhaust with headers, op and an UQFP, but N/A. The exhaust is barely a hum when doing 75mph until you accelerate.

Also have the touring 86 with ace a350, quiet at cruise, pretty loud on acceleration.

I'm running the Touring86 with a catless JDL UEL header, and it's super quiet. Even at WOT, it's pretty subdued. Definitely aggressive, and definitely UEL, but nowhere near as loud as I expected/feared.

Do you have a over pipe and front pipe at all?

How to check if DI seals have gone bad? My tuner is saying this may be the case as it is a common problem with these cars when boosted so I’d like to check.

You'll hear a firecracker noise when you blip the throttle.

Unless you have an early 2013, this does not apply to you.

Now I'm really confused since I have a 2016 BRZ. No idea what it could be then... He says it's either a bad DI seal or a direct injector is not firing from what he can tell through the logs. What would you recommend doing?

I recommend paying a second tuner to just review your logs for a second opinion. Perhaps @DeliciousTuning?

That is my tuner, I don't think I would choose anyone else. They are great.

Try swapping in different injectors, or getting your injectors cleaned by any injector cleaning service. It's possible for injectors to degrade in flow and spray pattern over time.

Also check for vacuum leaks.
